I dont know that glass. I only use either the weaver tactical mil mil army dot for budget (arround $700) or Vortex Razr that is a great value in the high end.
I actually boght 3 extra razors when theybwent on sale in Europtics w years ago and still habe them in the boxes.

Once you get the rifle and the glass then fit the gun and get some decent steel rings to itt your ergos. If the rails are not integral then measure movement with a mic in a bench in case bedding is needed and also to make sure everything is squared and true to the bore.
I do the setup at the workbench and I happen to have a wall st the other side of the basement about 50ft away where I have a laser level so when Inam done everything is true when I go to the range the very first shot is within two or 3 inches of zero.
Then you need to do a full vertical and lateral test with actual fire to makensure the scope is tracking and returns to zero.
In your case with a stadia you alsomwant to test it holding the shot to make sure the stadia is true to the mechanical adjustment.
A certain %error is fine as soon as it is consistent otherwise we have big problems.
The test grid shoumd be done in 3 tipical magnification settings to mske sure the mechanical part is up to the task.

All great info E, I do plan to swap out to an Ergo grip. From what i remember the rail is not attached to the hand guard. I realize this is not a high end set up, its a budget set up. I figured id give it a try and if i found the time to get more serious about LR i could sell this or one of the other rifles to fund something higher end, but I didnt want to invest too much initially because with my job and family I dont always get much free time.

I totally understand and the things I told you can be done without spending much or anything at all. The steel rings do not go a buy a badger that are awesome but quite pricey. Tps has some nice steel rings with 4 torx scrwes each and for $80 vs 180.
For the grip take a look but I light have a few in a box somewhere you can try and keep for 0 dollars.
My point is just take your time because many times I see decent equipment poorly setup and having this right from the start is a big factor towards finding this one of the most enjoyable shooting disciplines.
And you will know it is us sucking vs the systems, so we have to keep shooting a lot that is how one gets good st it, like with many other things in life.
There is no easy button if you know what I mean.
If it needs bedding you can use a skim leyer of JDweld. It works like anything else.
Dont need to spend a lot to do it right.
