so there are roughly 3 groups of thought for a handgun WML

1) stupid not needed why bother..... (fair enough)

2) yes i want and need a WML..... but like kinda.... i just want some light but not much.. (100-300 lumens)

3) give me the fucking sun...... all the lumens ....... then i want some more.....


Ok so I'm in the 3rd boat, give me as much light as i can have on a handgun. and while i have been saving up for the X300u which is 600 lumens i see that for about the same price they are now offering the Surefire XH35 which is a 1,000 lumens light... it also has strobe and can go between 300 and 1,000 lumens..

only downside to XH35, lack of holster options

yea im just now realizing that.... but with that part i also never actually read the first 1/3 of that post i think i just got to the part about someone about NV or something


also took a few weeks break off of bourbon, then i stumbled across this over the weekend and couldnt pass up for $30

No I haven't and that looks perfect. As long as it fits on the PPQ.

Apparently the PPQ has a few fitment issues with some lights.

thats a bummer. i see that there are plenty of people running a TLR-1 on the PPQ which im sure the 7 is using the same mounting design

They need to make a single cell (Scout 300 form factor) rifle light with that lind of output.
If Zebralight can get 500 lumens out of a single AA then it should be no problem using a CR123.

so my only reason i am stuck on surefire over streamlight is, while i would like the most compact everything i can get, i also like the idea of the WML hanging slightly past the barrel/slide as a standoff devise just incase

Thats a good point. Sticking many inches beyond is too much though.
I like Elzetta lights for long guns. Toughest lights in the biz, nice even, clean beam pattern too.

agreed and i think the Streamlight TLR-1 HL is pretty decent for a Glock 19 and at 800 lumens is fuck yea.
but eventually i would like to put a comp on my carry gun (g19 and my P-07) both of which all the streamlights fall just short of the comp, unless i went with the mayhem syndicate cali comp

Not really my cup of tea really. Bulking up a compact concealment gun like that.

mey i already carry a G17 the slight extra length i dont think will be much issue if so oh well i have a fun range gun and go back to carrying my chopped G17

I last carried years ago in Texas. I carried a SIG P239 SAS. A wonderful gun, very heavy for its type by today's standards.

I'm saying most compensators on a G19 will bring it to about the size of a G34... but there is the mayhem syndicate that will bring a 17 to a 34 a 19 to a 17 and a 26 to a 19

it would be horrible to use hotter 9mm ammo but have less felt recoil, faster follow up shots, and a flatter shooting G19.....

I’ve gone from my Surefire and stream lights to one of their smaller lights for my edc. I think it’s the S1 baton.
