This thread has turned into such a shit show I can't even keep track of who is against who in here.

@OnSight Firearms Training, that Blackpoint Tactical Mini Wing is working out very well for me.

I am going to be getting a shoulder rig for that Glock of mine too. Say what y'all want but I have come to the conclusion that such is the best method of carry for a professional driver that uses public restrooms damn near exclusively.
Hypothetically speaking of course. I would never violate company policy or states laws of course.

Me, I'm not really against anyone. Too many people think their opinions are the only ones that matter.

Nah, that won't work. Gotta be hidden under the armpits. Its way too hot in the summer to always wear a jacket like that. I would like to see if, hypothetically speaking, the G19 would conceal in a shoulder holster under a regular, loosely fitted button up shirt.

    Shoulder Holster

I like that it has the optional backstrap to keep it from flopping forward when leaning forward.
I want to avoid tie downs.

Considering the applications, I'd say go for it.

Trying to think of vertical or horizontal would be more comfortable while driving for hours at a time. I have a vertical for road trips. It’s great for that and while on the motorcycle.

I would actually prefer a vertical orientation for safety's sake but that would necessitate the use of a tie down which I absolutely do not want for a variety of reasons.

I tried the shoulder rig. Didn't work with just a t shirt. You'd have to advertise that you are carrying by wearing a button up shirt on top of a t-shirt on a hot day.

The old school vertical ones worked better but still noticable.

I want a shoulder rig but can't get over the price tag. Plus I can figure of I want it for the 1911 or the tricked out glock. Mine would be use for open carry in the woods or during yard work. This isn't an open carry vs concealed debate thread.

Even with two mags on the other side the 1911 will still not be balanced.

It won't work for me. When I'm in the woods I'm usually working on something. Being front and center I would have a bunch of interference. Also when working the sap lines I have a couple tools hanging in the front already.

I don't really need level 2 retention, just looking for some owb and you know how it is. Usually have to go through a few until you find what you like. Serpa is cheap, so it was on my list.

The passive retention of a good kydex holster will be sufficient. I have used the same kydex holster at 3 of @OnSight Firearms Training's classes now. It has no active retention to it, just the snug fit of the holster itself and my pistol stayed firmly in place while running, sliding, rolling and bellyflopping all over the place.

IDK what your intentions for the owb holster but if you have any desire to setup a range belt I highly suggest a modular system. It's a lot of money up front but once you holster changes are cheap. I now can stitch guns in 30 seconds and $40ish dollars a pop.

Agreed. Having used Blackpoint Tactical's holsters for the past 5 years I have yet to have any pistol "leave" the holster under the most adverse of circumstances.
Running, rolling, climbing, falling, fighting, being dragged thru mud and snow. A quality (note: QUALITY!) holster will not let you down.

I use High threat concealment, as I stated before. There is a solid retentive click so you know your gun is holstered. It's made out of bolteron which is stronger than kydex and has a higher melt/form rating over kydex. Check out my social media for more info on the holsters if you like. I'm working on becoming a vendor here so then I can discuss more openly about my affiliation and discounts with businesses.
