The Ukraine, the economy, 2000 Mules, the "vaccine" debacle... I can go on.Well this took the heat off of hunter and 10% joe.
Pretty amazing a kid working at Wendy's in a bad relationship with the grandparents hes living with could come up with the $3-4K+ for the rifles, armor, mags and ammo to do this.60 magazines? holy cow!
Did not hear anyone ask if there were any kids alive and taken out of the classroom after shooter was taken out. Thought that would be important to know.
I see a definite weight problem, here.Pretty amazing a kid working at Wendy's in a bad relationship with the grandparents hes living with could come up with the $3-4K+ for the rifles, armor, mags and ammo to do this.
More to ponder. He had 1657 rounds of ammo total in 60 mags, 31 were left in the bag, so 29 with him inside. 142 rounds expended inside, 173 with him not expended. I would assume since its texas he would have 30 round mags, Anyone else see math problems here?
Maybe I need to fill out an application at my local Wendy's.Pretty amazing a kid working at Wendy's in a bad relationship with the grandparents hes living with could come up with the $3-4K+ for the rifles, armor, mags and ammo to do this.

I'm guessing stolen from Grandma's bank account.Maybe I need to fill out an application at my local Wendy's.
I'm sorry, but fuck his "reasons "She added, “He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don’t judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me.”

credit card ? Perhaps this is why she was shot. Perhaps she had cash in the house ... Used his five finger discount.I'm guessing stolen from Grandma's bank account.
Eat a bullet you twat…She added, “He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don’t judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me.”
I beleive 5.56 is like 28 lbs per 1K. Getting some of that weight on your back its very doable for an able man. You are likely correct this is probably why he ditched one rifle in the truck and half of his ammo in route.I see a definite weight problem, here.
Once case of .223 rounds isn't fun to lug to a course. 1.6 cases and two rifles would be near impossible to carry all at once.
The real question to why this happens here is not about inanimate objects, but instead what has changed in our society and culture over the last 40 years. Dig into that, and you'll get your answers. And its not AR15s and 30rd pMags.I agree with much of this but there has to be an honest accounting of why this happens in the USA and not in Canada, France, Germany. And yes, those places do have mass-shootings. The worst ever was that dude in norway, but they are exceedingly rare. In Japan they have none (?).
Many gun owners hate licensing but the fact is licensed handgun owners in new york, for example, have to go through a process to get licensed. And the facts show they are exceedingly law-abiding. Not just beforehand, but subsequently. This guy wouldn't have been able to get a handgun license in new york. But even here he could still have bought a semi-auto rifle.
Yep...of the last two mass shootings armed response on the scene were unable to stop it from becoming a vile slaughter.
Unbelievably, cops engaged this guy, he got into the school, and they waited 60 minutes (!!!!!!!!!!) before finally gaining entrance at which point they put him down.
I have a 9 year old, so I know precisely what the parents of these kids are going through. He just evaporated the life out of most of an elementary school classroom.
The guy who did this was evil subhuman trash not worthy of being turned into dog food, but our society has a lot of these people and when all they have to do to turn their wrath into 19 dead kids is work at wendys for a few months we have a problem that must be resolved.
The commander at the scene in Uvalde — the school district’s police chief — believed that 18-year-old gunman Salvador Ramos was barricaded inside adjoining classrooms at Robb Elementary School and that children were no longer at risk, Steven McCraw, the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said at a contentious news conference.
“It was the wrong decision,” he said.
From the reports im seeing/reading/hearing there were no cops in the building for the 1st hour. Where are you finding reports of cop(s) entering the premises 4 minutes after the shooter? These videos of the cops holding back the crowds look bad indeed, but how much help would it have been if the parents were rushing the school? More victims? cops not knowing who the threat really was? Parents getting shot? I agree that these cops with body armor and rifles shouldn't have been standing around, but at the same time you cannot have mobs of people running through the crime scene. Plus, how many cops were already in the building? Did they really have the shooter contained in one classroom? Would more cops in there just confuse the situation? Were all these different agencies in radio communications to coordinate their movements?
It seems like the working assumption was that the suspect was barricaded and not a threat outside of that classroom, which to me requires that the victims in that classroom are written off.
So many questions that need to be answered.
One thing I keep coming across is that in an active shooter situation, it is the first few minutes that matter. Those cops that ran in the building 4 minutes after the shooter did (if true) and took fire were the ones that had the chance to stop this. Again, if this true, 4 in body armor against one not seems like good odds.
The district policy was all doors are locked. Now we are hearing an external door was propped open. Would it have mattered? Who knows. It is also the district policy that classroom doors are closed and locked. Again, was this one, and would it have made a difference. Was the shooter able to get barricaded into a classroom and more defensible position faster because of lapses in these rules?
ISSUES! It's 2022. There are no issues. There are no boundaries. We have been hounded into NOT being judgmental of a boy with a dick that wants to wear a dress and be a girl or vice versa all so a bunch of perverts can get their rocks off in a certain way. If today's society had any "moral compass" at all we would rise up and put an end to this nonsense. And sadly, would not be reported so he would not get in trouble because she is a good Grandmother who is unwilling to admit that her grandson may have issues. We talked about the culture thing above, but in that same context, how many parents or grandparents are willing to admit that their kids may be bad seeds and scare them straight by involving a LEO? I know the whole stolen funds thing quoted is conjecture, but it is believable that it could happen, and would be forgiven, even though it would be a small hint at this kids moral compass.
Don’t make excuses for them. Why do we have law enforcement if they aren’t ready to deal with the worst of the worst? Are we training leo just to enforce traffic laws and issue summons for littering? Are those officers standing outside with their dicks in their hands really well versed in vehicle and traffic law but dogshit with firearms? If that’s the case maybe the defund the police crowd has some merit. I am not law enforcement. I don’t know what I’d do in that situation. Maybe I’d curl up in a ball and piss myself but I didn’t sign up to be a cop. In this situation I would hope that I would at least have the courage to provide aid to the wounded which is something I do have training in.Disappointed, yes. Angry... hold off on that.
I hope it was a training issue - it's a small town with a SWAT team. And they may well have a training philosophy that if you didn't yet complete the door kicking class, you don't kick doors. You secure as far as you can, contain, and wait.
This forum regularly lampoons people who think they're going to clear their own house after watching a youtube video.
These cops protecting the parking lot may well be a product of that, right or wrong.
I don't expect the "save their own kids" thing to be true. I do expect they removed as many kids as they could without getting shot at. The rest would be left to "shelter in place". Again, if you don't have the "door kicker" merit badge, you don't kick doors. You secure, contain, and wait.
If both of those expectations were the case, then in some ways it wasn't as horrid a response as is said. They did go in, save who could reasonably be saved per the risk level of their training. If that's true, the wheels came completely off when their training insisted their magic SWAT team would show up in 5 minutes, which would never happen IRL since they're all working side jobs, or playing golf.
I only bring this up from all the terror response stuff I've gone through, and moreso, hazmat response. IF these guys trained with the same... skillset hierarchy? approach as terror and hazmat, then you operate within your skillset and defer stuff above it, to those that have the skillset. I was well trained to lead a 1st due crew to an anthrax terror event, and even run the incident. But that training included a very big line about dealing with the anthrax itself, as an example. I was absolutely trained to lead a crew into rescuing people exposed to it, etc. But anything beyond that, we were all trained to defer to hazmat techs. Same with sarin gas, same with bombs.
For the sake of those cops and fed marshals defending the parking lot, I can only hope that something similar is the case. "Save their own kids"? Maybe saved every room except for the ones where the shooter could wreck anyone who stepped into the hallway, or something. I have trouble believing that some badge walks into a room, grabs exactly his kid, and the rest agree to stay there, lol. More, how would they know which room their kid was even in.
No, I hope they got people out based on the risk level of their training, then "contained" until the merit badge crew showed up. 90 minutes later.
Gotta agree there. Watching Porn hub and the real thing is slightly different.Ithas been studied many times. No real link. Most people understand the difference between a make believe video game and actually shooting a real person. I played pin the tail on the donkey as a kid, but I didn't take that as a green light to start spearing farm animals with pins and needles.
Every one of these shooters is totally fucked up in the head. Playing call of duty didn't cause that.
TBH they probably could have simply misgendered that whackjob from down the hallway and he'd have offed himself.Cops would have had to shoot me (aka return fire) to stop me from going in if that was my kids school and they were just chilling in the parking lot protecting the "permiter" . What the actual fuck? I see a bunch of guys wearing more gear than our troops in downtown Baghdad that were afraid to breach a building for fear they might get shot? Find a new line of work fucktards .

So much for their AI program.
That is why i said if true, fluid situation, but have seen a few reports of this:
