As a Combat Veteran this is infuriating to watch. How was there not a single officer with the courage to move towards the threat? You all let those precious little ones down in the worst way possible. Just standing around gripped by fear, waiting for backup when back up was standing right behind you! All while wearing bullet proof gear with more than enough firepower. Those kids and teachers had absolutely nothing to protect them. Not even you all that just stood around in the hallway, while the police chicken in charge tried to negotiate with that lunatic. I’ve been to war and in hostile environments and gun battles so I know what it takes. You move forward at all cost. Relentlessly. You all had everything you needed to get the job done. It’s so sad to see none of you had the courage to protect those innocent lives. It really is. What a disgrace to the uniform.

The families of the Uvalde Robb Elementary school shooting victims met privately Sunday with a Texas House committee who released an interim report on the events that took place. The committee, led by State Rep. Dustin Burrows, shared what they learned as they looked into the school shooting. “If there’s only one thing that I can tell you is there were multiple systemic failures. I would invite everyone to read the entire report,” Burrows said at the press conference. “You cannot cherry-pick one sentence and use it to say everything without reading and without context. Ah, yes. The classic bureaucratic excuse of "multiple systemic failures". If the "system" is to blame then you can't hold individuals responsible. So no one will lose their jobs or get reprimanded because it was the "system".

This is a very cruel joke. Certainly all the senior police officials involved should be fired. As for those that waited in the hallway while children were calling 911 for help - I don't know how they can live with themselves.

There were 380 some police officers on site. I see the FBI was also there. They had I believe a drill in that school a few months before . Knowledge of the layout of the classrooms would have been known. Two rooms connected by a door. Windows that could have been breached No tear gas lobbed in .. Nothing but pleas from the commander .... put your gun down don't shoot anyone else.

They have released the edited footage. One wonders what clown circus went on that we will never see. Big take away on this whole situation. Training that they got never sunk in IF they had any at all. . Look at our fire fighters in this country. Risk their lives every day Lives on the line..
They are well trained .. The only thing we get out of this is Schumer spewing we need more gun bans. ... People bled out and died because of the inaction on so many levels. How many law enforcement agencies were on site and no one stepped up.

Cowards, its that simple. I dont care if they say "I was following orders" or " it could have led to more kids being killed". While kids are being killed they sat around and did nothing. They are all pathetic, so much for the oath they took. They were faced with the ultimate decision and failed.

After thinking about it more I wonder if the 380 (!!!) cops contributed to the delay. With so many cops from different agencies involved it is likely no one knew who was in charge. And if the moron chief from the uvalde police force didn't have his radio then it could easily become a clusterfuck.

However, once the guys in the hallway learned kids were alive and calling 911 then someone should have taken the initiative. That is unforgivable in my eyes.

Long watch, I plan on watching in pieces. Would be interested if any former/current LEO/LEAS or Military watch, what thier opinion is specifically of the video.

After watching the aforementioned video for an hour, I was angered, appalled, words barely describe what is was like. Some observations of officers directly within the hallway and thier actions/ appearance-
Many had ar15s. None engaged.
Many on cell phones texting.
Shield available within minutes. Noone advanced
Many with body armor.
Some with full tactical gear. Noone moved.
Flash bangs/ smoke/tear gas in hall within minutes. None used.
1 officer left to retrieve med kit from cruiser more than a block away before even attempting to breach, which he never did.
Noone took charge until BORTAC came.
Plenty of opportunities.
Multiple gunshots as they stood around.


Sick. Fuck orders. Do something. You should rightly be labeled cowards forever, embarrassed to be in public, and shamed to show your face again.


Edit- my kids were/ are in the military. Multiple tours for 2 in combat. 1 permanently disabled from it. In speaking to one of them who had to breach IN COMBAT MULTIPLE TIMES it would have only taken 1-3 guys seconds to do it. The entirety of thier failure to act is bullshit.
