BTW - totally unrelated, someone on the LGC forum pointed out that in terms of percentage of population killed, this attack in NZ was as bad as the 9/11 attacks here. A little numeric trivia.

I'm no friend of Islam and I believe it is a destructive ideology that has poisoned many nations and is closely correlated with failed states. The data for this is voluminous. But, if we are to be better we cannot encourage violence against them in our countries. It's safe to say that most of these 49 were probably just random joes who were born into islam and primarily go through the motions and likely pay little heed to the parts of the koran that encourage violence against heathens. These people killed had lives, families, jobs, etc. It's important we humanize people who are killed as part of a massacre.
I get some of you are watching this video, but if you are watching it or have, ask yourself if you would have watched it if it had been a muslim killing 49 people in a methodist church. If you watched this, but wouldn't have watched that, be honest about why. I'm not saying any of you fall into this category, mind you.
If forced to make an estimate, I believe greater than 75% of the people on this board, if armed on the occasion, would defend the Muslims in the mosque.
I don't know if it's what "you" would do, but I would.
That being said, if I was present when Muslims were shooting up a Christian church, I'd send them all straight to Allah, do not pass go, don't collect any virgins.
