Yes it would bug me but I’d overlook it if the rifle runs great. Put your scope mount in the last rail on the upper and you won’t see it anymore.

I think that is perhaps a bit extreme. Problem is with the handguard, not the whole damn rifle.

I doubt it's the receiver. Far more likely it's a varience in the handguard.

I've got a Dremel. I could smooth that bump out for you. We'll touch it up with a Sharpie. Nobody will ever know.

Never heard of them and also have not seen that kind of anti rotation design.
That is a proprietary design, possibly OEM made like most of the outlets.
But if you want I can tell you what the tolerances should be for mil spec.

I don't know the totality of its effect with regards to performance, you do have a sight on it, but it seems to me if someone is going to the effort to make a part that should align with a standard upper like used by many different manufacturers that they would make it to fit seamlessly. With modern machining and manufacturing processes being used today there is no excuse for it not fitting properly. In other words, yeah it would bug me to the point that it would be dealt with.

That's the thing Centurion Arms is a highly regarded manufacturer of handguards. I've not been able to turn up any similar issues on the internets. This is supposed to be a good rail, it is considered to be a high quality item and this is reflected in the price, which while not astronomical was not exactly cheap either. @meketrefe what is the receiver height specs?

It would bother me. Even knowing it wouldn't effect functionality, it would piss me off to know the manufacturer allowed that to ever leave the factory floor. Piss poor attention to detail in a world where companies like Seekins and LOTS of others routinely deliver machine tool perfection.
