My wife has the same problem. In a last ditch effort to provide thyroid meds, think back to what used to be used to make them, dried pig thyroid. Dose would be hard to calculate, but better than nothing..
Ya I knew nothing about intrusive a thyroid problem was before she had it. I can tell you it's not an ordeal I would like to go through again. The worst part is because of the nature of the medicine there is really no way to bank a surplus of it.
1) Do you carry some form of shelter or protection against the elements?
Not in my truck, but I do have something in my BOB.
2) Is your plan to drive somewhere, walk, or what else? you can list them in the priority you plan them.
First choice is to drive somewhere. Second choice is to walk.
3) How far is where you are going?
About a 45 minute from Rochester. It would take about 2 days to walk.
4) If you are not going anywhere is your plan to go into hiding to come back ?
I have enough food and supplies to hunker down for a while if need be. I hope to bug out before real trouble happens.
5) How much water and food do you carry and for how many days?
I've got some basic stuff in the car. I've got months worth at the house. I try to keep a couple days easily accessible to add the BOB if needed.
6) Do you think you have a good plan for a short term situation?
I've got a good plan, but I'm not totally there yet. I've got enough food and supplies, but I need more savings for the more likely events like losing a job.
7) Do you have a plan for a long term situation?
I know I can move in with family if things get really tight financially. If society collapses, that is the plan as well. I've got a couple years worth of seeds stored and have harvested seeds from the vegetables I've grown. The apple trees on the property should start to produce a decent amount of apples next year. I know how to can and probably have close to 200 jars of various sizes. We've canned all sorts of things. I even have some lids that can be reused year after year. I still need to pick up a pressure canner so I can put up meat.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It looks there are a few areas that will bring a lot of interest.
Based on the survey I see some urgency and I would suggest some of you that have not done anything yet
to do something very simple and inexpensive. We can put a thread to talk about the bare minimum emergency package
to keep handy at the house, work and/or the car. I see no excuse to disregard some bare minimum items
and study in the house or car that might be life savers.
Also pay attention to other threads like this one opened by @Celt ...
