Congratulations
Thanks BD. It was judge Rooney but he didn't seem to have much to do with it. It seemed to be the DA that wanted me to appear. The judge just asked what the outcome was and when I said dismissed he said okay I will sign it right now. Don't know the DA's name but he was a young guy.First of all congrats! Who was the judge?
Tendy is a good dude if the DA himself made an appearance and not an assistant. Represented the sellers when I bought my house and ive met him several times afterwards (randomly, not professionally, lol).
What are you shopping for?
Thanks. I sort of knew they wouldn't find anything but it was a judgment call just incase. In hindsight I should have kept my mouth shut.Congratulations

If you do find a vp9 and move forward with it, please share your experience with that as well. It's one I've had an eye on for nearly a year. Thanks BD. I think I found a p365xl that I am going to pay for tomorrow and then bring the receipt with me for the thumb print and photo. Also looking for a vp9 but so far nothing local.
Just a quick add. While I was there one guy had a lawyer with him so I asked her for a business card. I always see threads from people looking for a 2A attorney so I have her info for anyone around this area.
Yes.Amy Bellantoni?
Amy Bellantoni?
Yes.
Good name to have. I can personally attest to her work.I've had her number programmed into speed dial for about five years now.
Congrats on getting cleared.Just a word about what the DA told you, he lied.I worked in criminal court for 30 years. The record was sealed. No record of any arrest dissapears entirely, even if an arrest is DP'ed (declined prosecution) before it hits court. It just cant be viewed without a court order. If the DA said yes we saw xyz you would have had a strong lawsuit. If you were ever arrested and the question is "Have you ever been arrested" even if you think it "went away" it didnt, you must answer yes.If the question is have you ever been convicted you can answer no, if in fact, you werent convicted.Well that was silly. I was in the courtroom for about five min. The district attorney asked me to tell him the story about what I told the investigator at the interview. I told him what I could remember from 35 years ago and the judge said okay and signed the permit. The best part was when I asked the da if they found any info and he said nope just what you told us. So if I never said anything I would have had the permit two months ago. Oh well live and learn but at least now I have my pistol permit.
