S&W Shield. I like it just fine. I'm looking at maybe replacing it with the SIG P365 though.
In the past I CC'd a SIG P239 which is an excellent gun as well, but very heavy for a single stack compact 9mm.

Only have the glock 43. Im very happy with it, barely notice it while carrying appendix. Mag extensions from taran tactical allow increased capacity without increased size over the factory mag bottoms. I also recently picked up a +3 (definitely bigger than factory, but the +1, and +2 match the two different factory mags it comes with).
Very nice, i have shot that a number of times. such great looking gun too!
that extension must be good to help you hold on to it

It is, but once you get used to shooting with your pinky not gripping its no big deal anyway.
Yeah, the pinky thing isn't as much of a factor as you would think.

I have the Sig P938 Equinox and carry it easily in my pocket in a De Santis superfly holster. I changed the original grips to the black Hogue wraparound rubber grip. I feel I get a better grip with Hogue grip and shoot good groups

XDS 9mm. I wouldn't recommend it. The trigger was too heavy even after modifications.

I have. I'm very accurate with it, I shoot it much better than when I was trying the sig 938 for some reason. The trigger is excellent.
Size comparison with s&w j frame, and american compact.

I've got a shield and like it. I also have a SCCY that is 10+1, but double stack. The SCCY is close enough in size to the Shield that the can both use the same kydex type holster. The quality isn't as nice as S&W, but it always goes bang when I pull the trigger.

Springfield Stainless steel 5" 1911 (many years ago) - was looking for smaller and lighter so . . .
Kahr K9 - all steel, buttery smooth trigger ( had night sights and a Birdsong Black T finish) bought used. Should have kept it but wanted lighter . . .
Kahr P9 - polymer with similar trigger and light - new but had some breaking in probs (many, many years ago)
Kahr Pm9 - years ago - at the time it didn't like HPs - sent to Kahr 3x , gave up

Winner - Glock 43 (although I really did like the K9, but it was only slightly smaller than a Glock 19, so at the time the 19 won.)( G19 not in the contest for your questions)

Ah, i have spent time shooting my old mans lcr in 357. A revolver is a good BUG, but capacity is obviously its weak point.

I see what you did there, Robin (German) Bond (I don't know what "James" is in German).
I have several hundred down the pipe of my FiL's edc Shield (in Michigan); I can't speak to carry/draw/etc issues but it is a nice pistol at a decent price that points and shoots well.

A Sig is all you need- 938, 239 are compact and excellent shooters. I would also consider a Sig 225 and a 228. I have them all. I CC the 225/228 in my waist and in my pocket goes the 938 or the 239.
