Even if I could handle it (which I can) that caliber does nothing that a 9mm cannot do.

My wife does not have a say in what guns I buy, how many I buy or when I buy them. She could but chooses not to. So, I say very little if she goes to a spa or buys furniture like a leather sofa.
Edited to add: And I should add also said little when she and my daughter flew to Italy earlier this year and then went on a Mediterranean cruise. I made up for that though by going to Alaska with my son and buying a Ruger Redhawk in 44 Mag for the trip. No wonder I am broke.

my husband's business partner is married to a woman who HATES guns... juuust hates 'em! So he just kinda buys them on the sly. She knows he owns one as a CC that he justified for the business. The rest i don't think she even knows about.
At our house i actually own more handguns than my husband (although he wins on the long gunfront.) I guess technically they're "ours" since we have them on both of our licenses, but i bought them. Funny b/c my husband usually isn't too thrilled about dropping $ on big purchases but he didn't say a thing when i bought my Beretta this summer. It was Crickets at our house.
I love that man ( and that gun!)

You stated "more than your husband". Now, assuming he is a man, I'm sure it's only because he's a busy worker and has business trips often not allowing him to purchase firearms as much. Yeah, lets go with that.
