Happy Valley's in 6KGotta luv NY !! Per credit card transactions. NY DECALS is an outfit on Proton Rd in Dallas!!
Did buy my hunting license and got a DMP for the zone my camp is in. Not always easy. It is 6K.
Dangit I keep forgetting to do this. At least DMP's have been historically plentiful here.
Enlisted in Operation Killdeer 2020 this morning.
Edit: and of course I get a turkey permit.
What about Operation Killbear? Or Project Catchfish?
Yeh, my guess is '9/1' is for the start of the License year, and 1/31 is the last day anywhere in NYS that you could possibly legally use it to tag an antlerless deer.DECALS says a DMP is valid from 9/1 through 1/31. I understand that Suffolk county has a special firearms season that runs to 1/31, so the end date makes sense.
Is there a reason DMPs are valid starting 9/1? The earliest deer season starts 9/27, right? I'm guessing it's just a generic overlap to cover changing opening deer season dates, but I wanted to ask in case I was missing something.
All I know is the Town Clerk said the new fishing license wasn't available til September first. She's doing it all on the computer in plain sight, I figured it (the computer program) wouldn't issue the license til after the first. Makes absolutely no sense to me, but then this is New York and red tape is a fashion statement in this gulag.

Got my DMP's. Still waiting on my license to arrive though. I have a lifetime.
Not directed at you specifically, but since you mentioned it, ha ha - does anyone know what the $535 lifetime includes?
If it's just the baseline $22 license that means it takes like 24 years to pay for itself, which probably isn't worth it to me.
I have often pointed this out. If you had $535 and paid for the annual license then invested the rest you would, over time, end up with more than $535 left over. Unless they decide to jack license cost to $100/year (entirely possible) you don't save money. Not directed at you specifically, but since you mentioned it, ha ha - does anyone know what the $535 lifetime includes?
I would assume you have to add bow / muzzle permits, turkey, etc. to that each year regardless?

Just going to order an annual for now, just curious what the lifetime Hunting includes and can't find it on DEC's website.
I thought that was the normal price for doe permits. I always only pay 10 bucks,,,,unless I get 2I paid a little over $1000 for mine. This is my 4th season with it.
I get big and small game, bow, turkey and bear and fishing. I only have to pay $10 for doe permits.
The fishing license is big because I always tended to decide to go fishing for the first time every year on a day when I can't find a fishing license anywhere. Now it's in my wallet for the rest of my life.
