Of his own volition though.I think he is on a time out vacation.
Nope.Of his own volition though.
Yup. I've messaged with him about it.Nope.
I’ve always wanted a nice side by side. I have an old one that is t really safe to shoot so it just sits. It’s unfortunate because I love the gun. It’s a bit big and heavy but it’s old.
That’s all you have? You should be ashamed. Now go buy something worthy.Nothing special...

These caught my eye while in Harbor Freight
Think they'll be the nuts for turkey hunting and crossbow season. Quite comfortable with breathable backs actually, great dexterity.
I keep getting texts from some spam account saying I can last 3 hours with their meds. Guys- nobody wants that. Not her. Not you. Nobody hahaNot if it's ED.
For the Creed? A bit heavy for the Grendel.
CreedChow for mine and my buddy's. Planning on activating the Grendel for deer season again. I was considering the RPR as my spot isn't too far a walk from my parking spot. May change my mind yet.For the Creed? A bit heavy for the Grendel.
How do the two compare?
I've heard of that cartridge and rifle. Once popular with pre-war law enforcement.Among the items I had acquired from my late uncle was an early production Winchester Model 07 in .351 SLR (photo below). As I knew absolutely nothing about the rifle or caliber, other than how obscure it was to me, I sought out to find as much information as I could. I'm a small collector of antique and obscure firearms, and have had avoided potential tragedy a few times by performing a bit of due diligence beforehand (see: low-serial numbered 1903 Springfield, Egyptian FN-49 with broken one-piece firing pin, and other less catastrophic).
As a result of my Google-fu, I happened across an old article by Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons from 2014 that reviewed a monograph about this very rifle and caliber. At the bottom he gave contact information for the author, so I initiated contact immediately.
I'd been speaking back and forth to the author, who always replied with substantive and thoughtful content in his emails, to which I would respond in kind, and after receiving payment he sent me one of the dwindling number of copies of the second and final print. His willingness to engage in thoughtful dialogue throughout was very considerate, and the simple gesture of a personal inscription means a whole lot to me in the days of instant gratification and three click orders to your doorstep in two days:

Nice! A guy I used to work with has one. Finding ammo was tough. There is a store not too far from me that may still have some. Not cheap though. Jamison used to make brass for it if you can find diesAmong the items I had acquired from my late uncle was an early production Winchester Model 07 in .351 SLR (photo below). I currently have around 100 rounds for it. About 2/3 of the monograph covers customized tooling for dis/assembly and reloading, and includes a few vendors that carry projectiles and brass. Appreciate the info on Jamison brass, I believe Graf & Sons carries them. I already have a full set of Redding dies for it, and a line on the projectiles (Hawk, Inc) and brass (RCC Brass). I believe there are ways to modify the rim of .357 MAX brass and turn an extractor groove that will be about .090" short OAL. After a complete teardown, inspection, and cleaning, I will be working up a pet load for this once I assemble all of the bullet components and get used to how the old factory ammo works with it.Nice!
