Scored 500 magnum pistol primers at Bass Pro. BP is the last place I thought I would find primers. I stopped in to check on some ammo and other goodies and there they were. They are federal match and were 10 bucks a pop, but 50 bucks for 500 primers is better than 40 bucks for a box of 20 44 mag ammo, especially when I already have a ton of brass, powder, and bullets.
Oh as a bonus they had a Colt King Cobra that I got to hold. I have been eyeing one and after finally holding it I may consider it. Not at BP though I will order through my LGS.

Received my custom grips for my Cimarron Model P. I got them in Ironwood with checkering and in a thinner profile than the normal Colt 1873.

Been kicking around the idea of buying a new carbine bolt action 7.62x39 or building an AR carbine. Figured if I buy more ammo it might push me to do something so I found a 480 case of brass ammo nicely boxed in plastic too.

Visitors at our club from the Netherlands. They stopped earlier in the day to ask if we rented firearms. A member said no, but stop back this evening for Trap night and someone would most likely be happy to lend you theirs. Family of 5 camping in NY state parks. They were tenting it at Evangola state park. We were all shocked how well they did, especially since most of them had never shot trap before. We bought them wings and drinks. Hope they have good things to say when they get back home.

I did this with the French people I used to work with and they loved it. They told me they were told that if they picked up a gun some one would certainly die just from them handling it. They have been told more would have died if they put up resistance during WWII. To think of the trust they put in me to break with what they have been told their entire lives to handle and shoot a gun.

So I sent a mag from my sig x10 to magblocks because they had a hard time finding one to make a block for and they sent me some cool swag. I thought that was pretty cool of them. Also got blocks for the mags of course.
I just put mine in the silverware bin of the dishwasher. Seems to work very well. Tip: let it cool off after the drying cycle before you put it back on.
