If it's cast aluminum ( pot metal ) and you don't care about it, I'd like to give it a go. I have some of that low temp aluminum brazing material and I'd like to try putting it to the test.

I personally think it’s cast steel but I’ll put a magnet on it today. It looks too dark in appearance to be cast aluminum. I’ll on you a picture later and you can tell me what you think. I’m not opposed to having you try it and I know we’re close.

Cast iron can be easily brazed, and can be welded with a bit more effort.
Well... I finally bought my first Glock.
Picked up a gen 5 G19 MOS with metal Glock night sights.

So far I'm digging it. If nothing else and I end up hating it (I can sell it there will always be demand people are always buying used Glocks),and then it will make me appreciate my other guns more. If I love it, then it's money in the bank. Win/win.
I'm thinking of putting a tlr 7a and holosun 407c on it.
Also, Glock gives blue label pricing to veterans now you don't have to be LEO. so... That was a carrot dangling in front of me too. I'm a sucker for discounts. Sig didn't give me a discount or I would have bought an M18 or 320 compact xcarry. Glock supported me so I will support them.

507Kx2. Been playing with it a little bit and so far I like it. I have to get the shake awake sorted out but finding the dot has been pretty easy for me. Also looking through the dot at the target has been going well. I’ll try to shoot it Memorial Day weekend. I have a spare 365
So I’m in no hurry and want to do it right.

red dot and yes it’s on my 365xl. So far I’m happy with it and I hope to test it on the range this weekend.
The sight window is smaller in this dot than many others but I think it will be ok for me.

The guy I was supposed to pick this up from last week was able to travel today. He had an ATV accident and was in the hospital for a day and a half.
This is the type of people I'm dealing with here.
It was posted for sale but the seller didn't want to travel and he was two hours away from me. It wasn't worth it to me to drive that far.
I mentioned I'd like it if someone could get it closer. Another guy messaged me and said if I really wanted it, he lived close to the seller and could pick it up for me.
He met the seller and paid for it. He then met me half way to sell it to me. No upcharge. Didn't want anything for doing it. I tossed in a little extra anyway.
This is the type of people I'm dealing with here.

While out having drinks at a friends this Ethos was dropped off at my house to see if I might be interested. I told my wife I'm moving up in the world and I don't have time to go gun shopping and it's more fun if they just show up randomly. I've drooled on it since last Thursday so now I have to buy it. The bad part is that I have to put the Canik Rival on hold for a bit longer.

Man, I've spent so much f'ing money at PSA over the last couple years...them with their damn daily deals and such. Ever since Covid I've had the retro bug. I've been watching PSA's H&R retro line (formerly Nodak Spud) for a while and looks like they are starting to get more product out. I've been waiting for an A1 upper to become available, but not yet. Saw a complete A1 lower in gray and just couldn't resist. I do have a Brownells A1 lower and upper (also Nodak Spud, but pre PSA buy out). It was a blem set and the lower is a greenish gray while the upper is more lighter/purple-ish gray. The Bownells lower is nice, but doesn't have period correct markings. The H&R, since PSA bought the company, has the correct markings and seems to be a shade of gray that will more closely match my existing upper. We'll see. Plus, I have no issue with having two A1 lowers, lol. I also bought their gray charging handle and an H&R 20 round mag. They should be here Friday.

I picked it up yesterday. So it's not the match I thought it would be, actually it's darker than the Brownell's lower(the images on PSA's Site look lighter) but it's a nicer gray. I am very impressed with this lower. I'll have to keep an eye out for a matching upper. Meanwhile, it's still cool AF.
