today we got a new Ham radio for the jeep, that we can jailbreak to also pickup GRMS. so now we can broadcast on 2m and 70cm and GMRS, along with the antenna and all the crazy shit that goes with it

also got the power cable for the Tarheel, so that should be up and running by Sunday afternoon or Monday. Depending on how long it takes us to figure out the auto-tuner

i put a 16 foot antenna on a 10 speed bicycle because some CB'er said i couldn't do it ..

i hit a bunch of wires and traffic light getting to his house .. a mile away ..

then keyed up .. ( i had a old 23 channel cobra CB and battery on the bike .. )

IM AT YOUR DOOR ..

good thing is was a fiberglass Antenna .. Old Shakespeare big Stick CB antenna

you could use it .. would just have to slow down and turtle speed under the bridges ..

it will bend and snap back and bend and snap back LOL .

like my Wilson antenna on the car in a hospital parking garage

and holy shit .. 400 bucks .. i seen that screw antenna was pushing 1K ..

the other day i was looking into a TyT radio .. i think it was a quad band .. BRB have to look at YouTube history

@Jmac00 What are you using for antenna feed line .. ??

here at my home to my antenna (s) when i switch to the beam lol

its not that flexible .. solid core stuff .. i just do 2 meters

can't find the Carol Coax that i have but the below is close ..

with mine the solid conductor center is air gapped from the rest

same thing, freak'n shit is stiffer than my......well, anyway. I got the antenna cable from a vender at a Ham fest. 50' for $35.

its been 9 days now and the broken tree is still sitting there ..

i have parts of the tree next to my trailer in a pile .. someone cut up some branches and piled them on my Lot ...

i think the landlord is thinking i will get my chain saw out and clean it up for him for free ..

well that is not free fire wood lol

hell the 3 saws i have will not start up i bet .. they been sitting for 5 or more years ...

with out a overhaul from the Alcohol in gas eating up the the fuel lines and gunking up the carb

they will not start i bet ..

10 years or so ago .. i would be on this with the saw ..

time and health changes things ..

I'm late a few days but hear me out.

So I'm one of those Northeast divers that actually dives. My Hollis HD200 has over 8 years and 500 dives on it, it was time. It was worn and I'm becoming a more serious bunny diver so I'm moving into a more custom setup.

New Boi on the right. Hollis Elite 2 system with steel backplate and ST35 Wing.

It's a step up from the more recreational focused HD200. Nothing but good things to say of the HD200 though. But I'm at a point that, when I'm deep in a wreck, I want things custom to me and my style.

Going to pick up an aluminum plate as well for travel.

First gun in a while and my first Walther! Wasn't looking to get it but it was on sale for a good price at the FFL and thought "You know, I can be a secret agent too. All I need to do is lose weight, get mad training, and maybe become a decade younger. But I could totally do it. Besides, James Bond is pushing what 65-70 years old now?"

Not a carry piece and barely even a range toy. But it's a nice conversation piece if I do say so myself.

I didn’t get them today, but yesterday & last week…..

I never was too much into shotguns, but lately I’ve had a growing interest. I’ve always liked coach guns, but never wanted to spend the money on one.

Recently, I decided to expand my shotgun ownership, so last week I picked up a very good condition Remington 11-87 & yesterday I picked up a Stoeger coach gun, both in 12Ga. The 11-87 I found on consignment locally and the coach gun came from Gunbroker.

Last month, my 94 year old neighbor passed away.
Today his son stopped by with a gift for me from his father.

My neighbor knew his time was short and they were sorting through some of his stuff. He gave this to his son and told him to give it to me and that I’d know what to do with it:

A cigar box with a couple dozen old 12ga slugs and birdshot shells in it - all labeled “extra long range”.

None of the rest of their family are gun people, so he wanted me to have them.

I might just use some of them to break in my new coach gun.

God only knows how old these things are - I’m sure White Owl cigars haven’t been 10¢ in a while. :idk:
