Yeah, the laws are stupid and make no sense. There shouldn’t be an NFA list to begin with for anything, but suppressors coming off would be a nice start. What helmet do you currently have?

A hard head veteran bump.got my gf a 70 dollar airsoft special.just went out last night with the duals for the first time.just amazing to pan!!didn't notice a color diffrence at all between the tubes.when I closed both irises,the elbit had some noise.the l3 had zero.cant wait till the snow is gone so there's less light pollution.

The added benefit on increased depth perception with duals is so much nicer than running a mono. Yeah, L3 tubes really shine in very low light with no supplemental IR. Are you using any supplemental IR sources?

I have a real surefire vampire and a ton of fake ones..I haven't even had to use them with the l3.iv had that for 8 months.last nights walk in the back field was already super bright with all the snow cover.one thing that sucks about analog NV is that none of my friends or co workers will spend the money lol...oh!tomorrow I'm going to buy an sms hfxc LAM!iv read great things about them on the NV sub on reddit.ill prolly save up for a holosun iris this year too..bout to put walker razors on my helmet this week too..the NV rabbit hole is deep and addicting

The SMS is ehhh, it also has leaking issues where water gets inside the housing and lens. If possible, I’d definitely get something nicer if it’s able to be done, it’s worth it.

Oh man…that was a whole thing in and of itself. Just got them done in the beginning of December. All the floors on the main floor and the second floor, just did not do the basement. Ripped up the old flooring and carpets. Also completely renovated the kitchen as well.

Oh I forgot to mention it’s not completely done. The majority of the work is done, the next thing I’m doing is installing some floating shelves on the left and right of the window over the sink. The ones on the left will be an “L” shape and wrap around the corner and go to the cabinet. I should be getting to that soon.

It was tough to swallow 400 bucks for the 340v when I bought it.i put a 60 dollar china knockoff on the helmet for umbrella lighting.i actually just put the adapter on a couple nights ago!Haven't messed with it yet.what laser is that? Too many bills came out of this week's paycheck for a LAM. The hs iris will be next then! It sure is expensive to play in the dark

Too many bills came out of this week's paycheck for a LAM. The hs iris will be next then! It sure is expensive to play in the dark

Taking this picture reminds me that I gotta let my little guy rattlecan it again to cover up all the factory unpainted surfaces on the accessory lol.

That’s an L3 Full Power ATPIAL (Peq15). I’ve got a few accessories on it that I’m running from Villain Weapon Systems. The first accessory I added was the first gen diffusor that I run in front of the illuminator, it creates a nice wide flood instead of having the round not-as-wide spot of the factory illuminator which usually look like a “Petri dish”. It also helps alleviate some of the artifacts that show up from factory Peq illuminators.

The second accessory is the ALIS (Aiming Laser Illuminator Siphon) diffusor. When running it in FP mode, the IR laser can bloom from splashing off objects quite a bit, especially in close distances. So what this does is it’s basically a diffusor cap but it has about a 1mm hole in the middle of it. So it still allows a portion of the IR designator to pass-through uninterrupted. But the majority of the designator ends up hitting the diffusor and creates additional flood light to illuminate the area/room. And since it’s reducing the amount of the IR designator to pass-through uninterrupted, it no longer splashes and blooms like crazy.

With a factory Peq15 the “pattern generator” that looks like the cap with the two circles cover the IR/Vis lasers, the side that covers the Vis laser, blocks all of the Vis laser coming out and does not allow it to pass through, so you have to pop the cap off to the side to be able to utilize the vis laser. Also with the factory cap, the section that blocks the IR laser, cuts the power down significantly so it doesn’t bloom at close distances but it does not provide any additional spill. It pretty much looks like what the IR laser looks like it low power mode.

The other nice thing about the ALIS, is the section of the cap that covers the Vis laser, is completely unobstructed. So while it’s on, it still allows the Vis laser to come out. So no need to ever keep popping the cap on and off.

Yup, I also agree that the L3 24UA 2700 FOM, 37.5 SNR.

I also agree that the LS-M6TR is a better option that the SMS-HFXC.

Since I’m still playing catch up a bit on random stuff I’ve got. Here’s the new tv my wife bought me for an early birthday present that came back in December. Might watch the Super Bowl on it, but also might go out and hang out with some friends. My Italian Cane Corso Mastiff and French Bulldog doggos for scale lol. Anyone else into nice audio and video? I’ve got some cool audio/video upgrades as well that I’ll make a separate post and spread it out.

Well then sirrr…we have a relatively close setup. My setup is definitely nicer than it was before. The previous 65” definitely felt too small. It physically was not large enough, but the audio dwarfs it and made it feel even smaller. The newer 98” fits the wall perfectly now. What models of Klipsch are you running?

The Klipsch are rp-8000 towers,rp504c center and rp12 subs that run through a mini dsp controller. There are also AR towers for rear and AR bookshelf for sides. They are pushed by an Onkyo tx-rz830 that also runs four Klipsch outdoor speakers. Sounds pretty good.

I wish I could run a 7.1 setup but due to the room limitations and having the couch up against the rear wall it makes it impossible to setup a quality 7.1, so I’m sticking to just the 5.1…well 5.2. I wasn’t a fan of Klipsch subs as much and found them a little underwhelming, so I’ve upgraded them. Before the current setup I had a single SVS PB-2000, but recently switched to dual 13” drivers in the PB-3000’s. They’re pretty much large end tables that are on both ends of my couch and pressurize the room very well. The rounds now are currently on top of each subwoofer next to the ends of the couch, still trying to convince my wife to allow me to wall mount them. Though they’re not bad where they are and are at ear height.

Also got a pretty sweet ambient light kit that syncs to the picture. Don’t really use it for movies a bunch, it’s mainly for when the PS5 Pro is being played. All my videos of it are too large of a file to post on here. I wish we could post and share larger files, without having to crop it down like crazy. I had to crop this video down to 12 seconds from the original 37 because it wouldn’t post. I have a longer video of “Tron” that looks good.
