the wheel gun threads got to you..
the wheel gun threads got to you..

Ordered a manual safety for my P365 so it will be safe to carry as well as wood grips for my beretta 80X
Safer for the bad guy. What makes it UNSAFE to carry as it is ?
No trigger safety. I will not carry a single action gun that does not have either a trigger safety or manual safety. That would be like carrying a 1911 that has no grip safety or thumb safety. I don’t need to worry about something touching the side of the trigger during unholstering or reholstering. If having no trigger safety was such a great thing than all the new conceal carry pistols would not have it.What makes it UNSAFE to carry as it is ?
I have one on order for my xl also. Rather be safe than sorry.Ordered a manual safety for my P365 so it will be safe to carry as well as wood grips for my beretta 80X
The P365 is not a single action gun. It is a partially precooked striker much like a Glock. Pulling the trigger cocks tge stiker the rest of the way and releases it. It's more like a DAO system. No trigger safety. I will not carry a single action gun that does not have either a trigger safety or manual safety. Respectfully I disagree. Pistols are single action, double action or DA/SA. If more than 50% of the striker or hammer is cocked then that’s in the single action catagory. There is no way one earth I could lump the P365 or a Glock system in with the double action of my HK P2K, Ruger GP100, Sig P250 etc. I can understand if you disagree as I am aware that not everyone sees a black and white definition of things. The P365 is not a single action gun. In terms of what you feel safe with is of course entirely up to you and there is no room for debate there. In terms of pistols being Single, double or DA/SA actions you are objectively and provably incorrect. The Glock Safe action is distinct from all previously listed actions and this type of partially precocked action with passive internal safeties has been duplicated (more or less) in numerous striker fired designs. And while I now look askance at anything SIG claims about the functionality of their designs I do know that in the Glock the amount of stiker preload was specially set at a point where there is insufficient energy for tge firing pin to set off the primer charge. In terms of idiot proofing there is no practical difference between a traditional double action pulls and a Glock with the heavy NY trigger. There are also several actions such as SIGs Double Action Kellerman, HK's LEM action, and Berretta's Type C trigger on the PX4 which are all variations of a DAO trigger but use various means to alter or reduce tge double action pulls weight under certain conditions. These all could be considered as distinct from a traditional DAO action as they incorporate different mechanisms.Respectfully I disagree. Pistols are single action, double action or DA/SA. I will not argue the point that modern striker fired guns whose pull weights are typically between 6 and 4.5pbs are unforgiving of poor trigger discipline and I will further grant you that in a stressful situation even an otherwise conscientious shooter may find said discipline lacking and I therfore would not begrudge anyone seeking to enhance safety with things such as external safeties.
Of further note there are single action Striker fired guns too, the Walther PPQ and PDP for instance. Both full cock the striker as the slide cycles
Perhaps someone will the newly updated version of the VP9 for you.Not too sure what I will be getting next weekend, big gun show in Knoxville...
I have 2 more Glocks that I am going to sell, see what I can upgrade to. Maybe another VP9
There is a dealer there, he has models of the VP9 that I have never seen anywhere else. I am up to four of them now, one more should do it.Perhaps someone will the newly updated version of the VP9 for you.
VP9A1 is the new model right? The Compact model is also new right? There is a dealer there, he has models of the VP9 that I have never seen anywhere else. I am up to four of them now, one more should do it.
Ah, that looka very nice!Wood grips for my beretta 80X came in. Was unbelievably hard to source these in the US. For some reason beretta offers some nice wood grips in their online beretta store for the EU, but they will not ship them to the US and the Beretta US store currently does not offer them.
the green LOK grips I had on it before:

the new beretta wood grips :

functionally the LOK grips had more aggressive grip texture, but damn there’s just something about a wood and metal gun.
