Glock build?
I cannot confirm or deny that I may not actually be doing a build for once and it may be just a stock purchase.... if it was a glock or a gun that is ... speaking of that.. I didnt buy today but I did ship out my P07 to its new owner (unrelated of course)

I've honestly been intrigued with them since they first came out years ago as the "gadget"
I dont think they are a necessity but I like the concept and well a fair amount of top shooters are seeming to put them in their guns (Scott Jedlinski seems to be a big fan)
So I figure for this new adventure I may have coming soon would be a perfect host for one.
I remember you saying you wanted to get one after I had commented on here a while ago about a video I watched (still can’t remember the exact video though) where I could see the backplate flopping around while the guy was shooting and thinking that shit was broken and I was waiting for the internals to come flying out the back! Lmao!!!
Building a carry or comp Glock?!
Oh yea I remember seeing something on them oh god maybe 5 years ago. But they are also rarely in stock. Just recently does TDG seem to keep up with demand so I "pulled the trigger" and ordered one..
But they stopped making them for glocks with pretravel reduced triggers... so I'll be sticking with a stock glock trigger (good thing the gen 5 are actually pretty decent)
Ah now we are getting somewhere... it's going to be both... but most will not consider it a carry gun at all and say it's a competition gun..
But after carrying a G45 with x300 the extra size wont make much difference and I think it will actually carry better

Ordered a gen 3 to gen 4/5 stainless steel guide rod and a ISMI 13lb recoil spring

Correct. It will eventually be shipped off to Agency and have the MOS turned into their AOS
But since Gen 5 G34 only come in MOS that's what I had to get, but as I posted in the red dot thread, the C&H plates fix pretty much every problem with the glock MOS
Yeah. I was going to ask if you purposely chose the MOS option since many complain about the additional height from the way Glock mills for the optic, but then realized that is the only option.
Getting it re-milled for the Agency AOS cut is gonna be nice later on.
Yea thankfully (while not the best option) Dawson makes MOS specific sights.
But in the end when I get the AOS milling and their plates. The optic will sit as low or lower than a direct mill slide
Plan on any additional frame or slide work?
I'm not sure if the one mo FFL ordered has the front slide serrations or not (I kinda hope it doesnt) if not all I'll probably do to it is add some front serrations. I cant decide if I want to Bob the dust cover (I dont think I do) and probably leave the frame alone but I'd like a double under cut, sadly I think Boresight grips look the best but not dropping 600 for frame work hhaha.
But I would kind of like ATEi front slide serrations. Who knows yet
I believe Glock originally did not mill front serrations on their Gen 5 slides, but were eventually making all of them with the front serrations and phasing out the old “non front serrated” versions out...I could be wrong though. If that’s true, the only way you’re getting no front serrations is if it’s one of the older original models.
I know some of the Gen 5’s (not sure of the 34’s) came with the front grip cutout, which I’m not sure I’d be a fan of.
Yea I'm pretty sure the gen 5.5 are all front serrations, but no moon cuts. The MOS negated the moon cut. So I would have to find a place that would mill better front slide serrations eventually I'm thinking
Just go get yourself a dremel, a shit ton of different style bits, a nice wood burning kit, and do all the framework yourself like I did on my 34! lol
Let me know if you plan on getting some other slide work done like the front serrations. You can also get enhanced rear serrations, which is a nice feature too. I know a few companies that do really nice work and can find out if they are able to do the front serrations on your 34.5
I did my original G19 grip after chopping it to a g26.
My attention span just isn't there to do that anymore ahhaha
Same goes for framework. I know a bunch of companies that do crazy good work. You do get what you pay for.

You could do that, or buy another 34 and do a grip chop. Than you’ll have another Glock. It’s a win win. Haha
