Funny how none of these liberal senators want to apply this to gun rights.
Yeah, because why would they want to do that? The decision was set to come out in June at the end of the SC session. That's still well before November elections. No need to leak if if that's your goal. Heck, waiting until it was closer would be better if that was their goal.
If the leak had a political purpose I think it would more to be influence the decision itself and not drum up votes.
It's not intimidation. It's protesting. If I don't like what you do as a government representative I can protest your actions in public places.
I'm also ok with the government representatives fearing the people. They've acted like royalty for far too long. They work for us, not the other way around.
This times 1,000. Clear evidence there are clear double standards when it comes to law enforcement.Too bad these "protestors" won't be treated with equivalency to Jan 6th protestors.
Let's see them all get intimidated by the limitless resources of the corrupt FBI, hunted down, rounded up, denied bail, sent to prison and or solitary confinement.
Barr on SCOTUS Home Protests: 'Federal Crime' to Go to Judge's Residence to Influence Decisions
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Monday on FNC's "Jesse Watters Primetime" that the protests outside the homes of Supreme Court justices after a draft opinion leaked that would overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling were a violation of both federal and state law. | Clipswww.breitbart.com
Barr said, “Well, that’s not a valid form of protest because it’s a violation of the law. There is time and place for protests,
Sounds like shit a fascist would say.... "There's a time and place for protests".... as in you can protest when nobody else is around. Fuck him.
and the federal statute makes it clear if you go to the house of a judge, the residence of a judge to influence the judge in his decisions and demonstrate that that’s a federal crime
Sounds like a bullshit law and unconstitutional at that. The whole point of every protest is to influence government actions. More fascist shit from Barr. Yeah you can protest, just not the people making decision because it might influence them. Get the F outta here with that nonsense.
Congratulations! You are part of the mob. Protesting at public buildings is different than taking it to the homes of supreme court justices. If you can't see the difference there is no hope for you. Civilized society depends upon norms of behavior and limits on the baser instinct of people. But I guess anything goes for people that aren't on your side.Barr said, “Well, that’s not a valid form of protest because it’s a violation of the law. There is time and place for protests,

Nah, you get to protest government officials all you want. They're protesting public government officials on public land... land that is paid for with their tax dollars. Outside the court, or on the sidewalk in front of their home, it's no different. I didn't agree with the trucker protest but I supported their right to do it. Rights are more important that anyone's personal desires - yours, mine, and yes even a supreme court justice.Congratulations! You are part of the mob. I don't have a reason to. Nor do I think protesting is particularly effective.go protest at a NYSP house and see what happens ..
Could be to push other things out of the news cycle. The decision was set to come out in June at the end of the SC session. That's still well before November elections. No need to leak if if that's your goal. Heck, waiting until it was closer would be better if that was their goal.

Time, place, and manor are the well established legal criteria for legally limiting speech.Barr said, “Well, that’s not a valid form of protest because it’s a violation of the law. There is time and place for protests,

Pure sophistry. Actually it is quite different. The fact you don't see that speaks volumes about you.Nah, you get to protest government officials all you want. I'm sure it breaks Kamala's heart to say what she said.
