After sending an email with the required info to TS on Monday, I got a shipping notification saying they were sending the missing 500rds. Today I get a box, look at it and think "Man, that's a big box for 500 rds", so I picked it up thinking it was half empty. "Man, that's heavy for 500rds". Open it up... Ugh. 1000rds.
Now I'm facing a moral dilemma.

I am not surprised they made it right. Most companies like this do decently with customer service cause it destroys their business fast if bad word gets out.

I think it would be good to notify them and see what they say. I don't think they can take returns on ammo, so you may end up keeping it. If they want you to send it back then whatever. As long as they made good on your order. It was their mistake not yours.

Being a small business owner, if I found out a repeat customer didn't at least try to inform me about a messed up order that went in their favor, I would hunt them down after things got calm and break every one of their fingers.
If they called and let me know, I'd probably let them keep it and hope they would spend even more money on future purchases.

But who is to say that your repeat customer isn't just as busy given TEOTWAWKI going on right now?

He just happened to have luckily checked on the earlier order to see that he was shorted.

You guys are a pretty stand up bunch. I plan on letting them know that they sent too much. I'd feel like crap otherwise. If it were an anti gun company, I'd keep it and not say anything and have no qualms about it. I'm secretly hoping they tell me to keep it obviously. If they don't, I'm gonna be straight with them and tell them that they're not going to see it for quite a while. I haven't come into contact with anyone for three weeks now and I don't plan to any time soon on account of some screw up.

Shoot the first 500 rounds in a singular blast them up range session (make sure to shoot whilst jumping through the air). You now have 1000 rounds. The universe is balanced again. Your conscience is clear. If you really believe in that karma stuff then give the 500 rounds away in a karma give away. Or even better sell the ammo, buy some PPE and donate it to a hospital or something.

I haven't been looking at ammo lately. Just looked at TS and other sites and man slim pickings. Mostly only premium stuff and what's left is way over priced. Reloading wins supreme again. Still plenty of components to go round.

I know. I almost bought what I thought was 1000 rds of Winchester 9mm from palmetto state for $159, but looked more closely and realized it was only 500 rounds. That's nearly double what it typically would be.

The girl who handled the first claim called me back and said I could keep the extra 500 for $100 or they could have it picked up. Not sure what I'm going to do. Was planning on ordering a handguard for my new build. Can't spend Willy nilly right now. Wife is keeping tighter watch on bank account.

It's totally up to you. Legally, you can keep it with no additional payment from you. Ethically, you know the deal there.
I'm actually surprised the c/s rep told you to pay or send back. I'm confident she mishandled TSUSA's screw up.

I wonder what the actual policy is. I know I would be hesitant getting returned defensive ammo from someplace. Obviously I was hoping they would've said to just keep it, but they actually ship right to our door here in New Yorkistan which I appreciate unlike those places that we bash cuz they don't, so I can't in good conscience screw them over.

Ok, someone on here had a great idea, so this is what I'm gonna do. The ammo is worth more to one of us here than it is to TS, so I'll offer it up to someone local for $110 for the 500 which is what TS is going to charge me for it ($100 + tax). That's cheaper than what I initially paid per round for the 1000. Only thing is it's gotta be cash and face to face pickup during the week at my house while the wife ain't home. She's got no idea I bought a bunch of this so let me know if you're anywhere near Boston/Hamburg and we can get this stuff to someone who'll use it for way cheaper than you can currently get it. FYI, it's Federal Syntech 9mm range ammo, 500 rounds. Usually goes for .22/round if you buy 1000. I'll put this in the classifieds too.
