Wrong. Nothing you say is fact just because you say so until you prove it. Are you a lawyer? What expertise do you have? So far you've given us nothing and this isn't the only thread you've done this on. Back up your "facts" with actual proof and by proof I mean show me something from some law firm or court ruling that states not showing up to court when you are being sued is without consequence. You can't and you won't because that just isn't how it goes.

What about a scam artist with an excellent legal background filing a well thought out yet bogus claim instead of a nutjob ?

You are taking the most ridiculous examples and using them as evidence that *no* examples need to be dealt with. That is the very definition of a straw man argument.

You are free to ignore any lawsuit you want, right up until men with guns and badges show up to enforce the judgment.

I will take them seriously no matter how ridiculous the claim.

Here's another example. What if the plaintiff is not malicious, just mistaken. You get sued for judgement over a mistaken identity. Can you just ignore that too ?

Again, you are posting a reply from a lawyer assuming a valid lawsuit. Find one about a pie in the sky "you hurt my feelings online" "I don't like your haircut" claim like was being discussed here before I came around and shut that down. You keep moving the goal posts. Apples to mushrooms.

If it worked as you say it should, why haven't they showed up with guns drawn to OJ Simpsons house? He owes $70M in a civil lawsuit. Hasn't paid a dime, nor will he. He's still on the golf course every day. The guys with "badges and guns" have had sense the 90's to do it. Maybe they are coming tomorrow.
