Targetsports shorted my order

So I ordered 1000rds of Federal Syntech ammo for $219 a little bit ago and received it on Thursday I think. Didn't pay it any mind until I looked at it closely and thought, man that box looks small for 1000 rounds. Sure enough, it's only 500. Shipping label has proper weight for 1000 rounds and says 1 of 1 (thought maybe the other 500 would be shipped separately). Fuck me. They better not give me shit about this. I think I remember someone else having an issue like this from a retailer in a thread a little while back? Some had good outcomes, some not so good if I remember. Sent them an email to see what they will do about it. Had to vent to you guys cuz the wife wouldn't be understanding in the least... Like at all.

This sort of thing happened to me a while back. I called them about it and while apologetic, they said it was becuase they had sold out. Well, how nice that they still charged me for the item. They refunded my money after I called them. Just weird they would handle it that way. I have 2 boxes of 22 coming. It just shipped. Lets see if they messed this one up too.

Not really. Did you actually read my post? That was the only weird transaction I've had with them and they made good on it. Every other order from them was fine.

Thats odd, I too ordered the Fed. Syntech and received a full case of 1000 rounds when I ordered 500!
BTW, I'm not complaining!

I'm sure you're right. I'm sure all I have to do is send them pics of the shipping label on a 500rd box and hopefully that should do it.

I've ordered a ton of ammo from them. Never had a problem. I'm sure in your case you ordered 1000 rounds which are packaged in 2 boxes of 500. It was a mistake by the guy pulling your order. They will take care of it. The only strange thing is you said your shipping label is weighted for 1000 rounds. Maybe they don't weigh the shipment but rather have pre-set weights for the ordered quantity when printing a shipping label. Remember how busy and hectic they must be. They will make it right I'm sure. Let us know what happens.

Oh, by the way - SHAME on you for posting this. There are people here who think the government is monitoring this site and would have no other way of knowing TS ships to NY (legally) if not for us posting here

They make mistakes... They once sent me 1k rounds of the same brand and caliber of something I ordered, but a variety that was worth 2x what I paid... Karma really ate at my decision to not call them and let them know, that they could send the right order and paid return label and I'd swap.

Ultimately I felt Karma would understand it was not my error, or by omission, my bad! I kept the ammo, lmao!

I remember reading somewhere at some time, that if something is delivered to you by post, with your name, but you didn't order or purchase it, that it is considered a "gift" and the is no culpability of "theft" if you fail to return it. Lol

Amazon has screwed up several times and sent me 1 case of something instead of 1 of something. I have enough light bulbs and batteries to last a lifetime. I’m not worried about it. They’ve got the money. It wouldn’t even be worth their time or shipping cost to get it back.

Why doth the Lord test me so?

After sending an email with the required info to TS on Monday, I got a shipping notification saying they were sending the missing 500rds. Today I get a box, look at it and think "Man, that's a big box for 500 rds", so I picked it up thinking it was half empty. "Man, that's heavy for 500rds". Open it up... Ugh. 1000rds.

Now I'm facing a moral dilemma.
