This is just sad to watch now. You all got so excited over this TRO that literally NEVER EXISTED. This judge has shown from day 1 where he stands. It isnt with the constitution. The ingornace and naievity in this forum is disheartening. As GOPerfect said. They will infringe more. You will do nothing. There is no hope for 2A in this state. Ever again. Accept it or fight it the outcome will remain the same.

I am watching the video as I type this... AND from what I hear from a lawyer at work - is what the 2nd Circuit did today was nothing more than courthouse traffic control. Like being on an aircraft which is holding waiting for clearance to take off.
At worst, the TRO will be stayed for another 2 weeks. Then it goes back to Judge Suddaby's court. Then the battle renews based on the Injunction ruling. The battle over the TRO is really almost a waste of effort other than to always be on the offensive no matter what.
The state celebrating a win today is nonsense. They did not win anything.
OK there it is... in the video the extended stay is considered housekeeping.
And did you all notice it is October? That means bulky fleece jackets.

I am not suggesting anything. I am not complaining about all this either. For me personally, I have taken many steps to ensure these Bullshit laws do not effect me.

There is no action that can be taken. Bitching doesn’t solve anything either. This is going to work it’s way through the courts for some time and maybe just maybe we will have a victory lap one day. As far as I’m concerned the only action worth taking is to leave the state all together. I can’t wait to retire and leave this state and not give them one more penny of my hard earned money towards taxes

The stay, as mentioned in 4 boxes video, is simply housekeeping by the second circuit. It's neither a win nor a loss, all just part of the process. Mark ( 4 boxes) being a constitutional lawyer states it plainly. He has been correct many times in the past and he seems optimistic about the entirely of this. I wouldn't be surprised if his predictions of the 2nds panel do come within a few days. Remember, this stay is for all of potentially 2 weeks, until oral arguments are held later this month. This isn't about a singular battle, but winning the war.

It's s personal decision. Many already have. You have to be at peace with whatever decision you make as long as you can do that from a strong moral position you'll sleep fine at night.

There is another case before SCOTUS about guns in the home and the 2nd circuit are about to get slapped HARD. They ignored the recent ruling about the caretaker exemption and SCOTUS is not happy.

In theory SCOTUS is in charge of all of the federal judiciary.
They're going to need to figure out how to punish rogue judges that just ignore their rulings before things get better.
Not sure if that means removing those judges from the bench, holding them in contempt, or what.
Personally I'd love to see them start proceedings now such that many left wing activist judges are removed from the bench just in time for a Republican administration to start replacing them in 2024.

At this stage, there is really only one action left to be taken by the general populous.
People complain that others only bitch and "do nothing", yet these are the very same people who are in a position to do something and DON'T. their response is "I take care of me and everyone else can fuck off".

Qualified immunity does not count when the politicians deliberately violate the Constitution. The politicians knew this act would be in defiance of the Constitution, as stated by the Supreme Court. So put them in jail.
but if you only want to bitch and do nothing, and expect the general populous to do it for you it will get a LOT uglier. And you will then be placed in a position of having to go after those who are trying to reclaim their freedom. Is that what you want?

I’m not being rude but what does getting slapped hard look like? Most likely the Supreme Court won’t take the case and it will get sent back to the 2nd for reconsideration. Maybe the SC will take this case, maybe. But then again we could also lose the Supreme Court if we lose the senate. I have no faith that the dems won’t pack the Supreme Court if they hold the senate to reaffirm abortion in some way and do what they did with gun rights to us. Oops the last court got it wrong sorry and we’re back to where we were before Bruen

- We are witnessing the death throes of gun control. The gun grabbers will go out the same way they came in; with racist laws that are meant to take rights from disfavored groups in society. Watch them, as this current case moves forward, quote brutally racist laws from Reconstruction; hell, even the term 'of good moral character' is a dog whistle for late 19th and early 20th Century minorities who have learned to emulate and live within the expectations of the dominant cultural group.
- These death throes, as per the definition of the term, will be violent; not in actual violence perpetrated by the gun grabbers, but violent nonetheless. Disarming a law abiding citizen for no justified reason leaves that person open to actual, real violence that they may have been able to defend against if they chose to ignore/break the law. Then the consequences for breaking the law also become violent, as in men with guns sent to arrest the person who did nothing more than break an unjust law.
- If you carry during the days of the week and hours of the day that the 2nd District Appeals Supreme Court issues a Stay of an Appeal of an Injunction, (and the moon is full and the responding officer is feeling good/crummy because he just did/did not got laid) you can rest assured that you will eventually be vindicated, because, a) the law has been declared unconstitutional already by TWO courts, and, more importantly: b) YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. You are not harming anyone, and (in my case, for example) you have been carrying for FORTY YEARS without incident, and carrying today, and carrying tomorrow, are not the morally wrong things to do. OH, and then you WILL definitely have standing, which the state is terrified of...
- Why is this happening? It is not happening for public safety, you can be assured. It is all happening because the powers that be (state/federal/globalist)... have chosen New York and California as a battleground. NATO, Russia and to some extent China have chosen Ukraine as a proxy battleground for a kinetic war to determine world hegemony going forward, and powers of similar magnitude have chosen New York as a proxy battleground for a legal war to determine the future of the entire concept of an armed citizenry.
An armed American citizenry has bailed out the world before, and we can do it again. It is that which they are afraid of.
They are afraid of us.
And believe it or not, they are scared.
