I didn’t. Many others thought the outcome would be favorable, but I’m not sure why? We have had zero positive outcomes for more than a few minutes and even those decisions never went into effect. Yes the CCIA is unconstitutional and a judge in NYS a said it but this judge is a lower court so it doesn’t really help up much.
I suspect of the second circuit ever gets around to it we will get guns at churches back for good, and guns at a few locations like parks and other low populated outdoor spaces and that’s it. Maybe at private businesses but I don’t expect that honestly.

if you know anything about cars/trucks. Can you or the .gov please explain how anyone could bolt a gun safe to the FRAME of any vehicle?

I bolted mine to the floor of the truck, but there is no physical way to bolt a safe to the frame

The vast majority of new vehicles don't even have a frame.

Or can you only leave the gun in a pickup truck or full size SUV ?

As far as the fire proof and fire resistant debate goes....u guys wanna split hairs...its all good...I stand corrected....im 100% positive over the summer I read that the lock box had to be bolted to the frame....it appears that is not the case.

I keep a pistol in our jeep 24/7.

It's in a $40 lock box from tractor supply secured with a 3/16" steel cable to the seat frame.

It would easily meet the legal requirements outlined there.

They are a ridiculous violation of our rights, but they are not difficult to meet.

Guys, remember that most of this CCIA nonsense is temporary. It will get struck down. It might take another year. It’s like other civil rights movements. It can take time and some set backs .
In the meantime, use the loopholes given. I tend to be well reversed in these laws compared to most LE and this new law can be confusing as to when and what is legal for certain people .
What is on duty security officer ? And his area of employment? When are they on duty?
Get an armed security guard license because the above questions can be different for different security jobs. How is that cop to know?
Give that cop a reason to explain why he didn’t enforce that sensitive or restricted area stuff. Don’t believe that the security guard license could save you?
I remember a news story of photographer who got caught carrying a gun when he was there to do the student photos. He didn’t get arrested because he had a work contract with the school( the law has changed since then) . The police were confused if the law applied to him or not.
A armed security guard license is a pain to get but it might be worth it.

LOL, when you file taxes, claim income from your wife paying you to guard her.

Then have her write off the guard expense.

The combination locks were too cheap for my taste. Pretty sure I could break into one with a rock and a stick and about 20 seconds.
