I caught the whole speech on youtube, I have watched many of his speeches, it was long but one of his better ones because he is so casual and hilarious.

When the campaign starts up he'll make promises like every other politician and do nothing. We won't see any laws passed supporting 2A thier aren't enough votes.

He's been on record saying that he wanted reciprocity. Congress didn't pass it when he had the majority. He's been on record saying that he wanted the Wall. Congress didn't give him that money when he had the majority. He's not a king.

Everyone has been against him from the start.

I blame Eddie Munster, er... Paul Ryan for that. I think McConnell would have gotten it through the Senate if it had a chance, but didn't want to take a political hit from the left if it had no chance to pass the House.

We have too many RINO'S down there ...THEY dropped the ball ...Obit packed the courts with left wing judges... All across this land .. He is doing his best to correct this situation .. .. Liberals are doing everything they can to slow down the process ...

As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't been vocal enough or applied pressure where and when he could to maximize effectiveness. Just "being on record" doesn't cut it for me! He has the "Bully-pulpate" and could do a lot more to advance the cause!
I do applaud him for his efforts with the courts! In the long run this will be our salvation (and maybe that's his plan and we are just being too near-sighted)?!

Oh yeah, like Obummo and Hillary? Hes kept more promises and done what he can than any other choice that could've been elected. Two years in he's still battling HARD for border security, which was his campaign platform. Do you honestly think he has support of ANY liberal dem along with the train load of RHINO's that are working against him? You think he gets to make ALL the decisions from his bathroom? Wake up man.

Hahhaa right moment? Imagine if he was president and during that time both the house and Senate were controlled by Republicans. Man if only an awesome moment like that came around

Hes on record saying hes for assault weapons bans. Hes on record for saying he is for gun confiscation with out due process, hes on record for being for waiting periods before purchasing of guns

Dude. The 2A is just fine federally. It's only about 5 states that have awb's. What do you want him to do? Recind the federal AWB that doesn't exist?

Yeah the bump stock. Not all people around the country understand that issue fully but consider themselves pro-gun including Trump. Years ago in my 20's, I was anti gun. I thought licenses for handguns was a good thing. I thought machine guns should be illegal. Years ago I thought the .45 ACP was more powerful than a 9mm. There are people here that still think that. There are people here that are anti gun and don't even know it until it's explained to them.

The fact of the matter is, he's no constitutionalist on the 2A. He's ignorant on certain gun issues just like some people here but he's better than the alternative including the other republican candidates that he beat.

And people can change their former stances on gun control issues despite what they may have said in the past. I have and I'm sure you have as well. Our boy Yankee Marshal did. Most people do.

Not at all talking about bump stocks. I'm talking about trump saying he is in favor of taking peoples property before due process....

But yes people can change, trump has proven time and time again he has not changed, just this time it's not words in a book but forced policy and backing off policies

And honestly he isnt better than the alternatives, at least with them people would have "continued to fight" nope once trump took office everyone dropped their guard because "the 8 year assault on our 2A rights is over" ......... and here we are with more anti 2a policies in place than all 8 years of Obama

I hate when people say that. Obama took away foreign, imported, military style firearms like the AK away. He most definitely would have signed and anti-gun bill that was placed on this desk. He even cried because the Republicans wouldn't pass any. Come on.
