As far as I can tell, at .43 cents per round, that price is ridiculous especially considering you would be buying that much of it and high quality ammo is available at much lower prices (make sure to uncheck steel, reloads and .223, if they are checked) even when not buying in bulk. Then again, I do not know the meaning of the designation BAR so maybe it is something special.

Well, ammo prices have fallen some, and some ammo that was not readily available is more available now, but prices still suck!
What prices do you consider good? Prices online anyway have sunk to pre panic levels.

Found a somewhat good sign today, high quality CCI V-Max 22 Magnum rounds at only $11.99 a box of 50. The price has not been that low in years as far as I am aware. I also saw some Armscor 22 WMR for the same price; not bad ammo but nowhere nearly as good as the CCI or so I think. The thing is the CCI only has a 30 grain V-Max polymer tipped bullet and the Armscor a 40 semi-jacketed hollow point (although they call it a JHP I truly is a SJHP). Other sites still have each at higher prices - $14.99 (and higher) per box for the Armscor and $15.99-$16.99 (and higher) for the CCI. That in and of itself is a big improvement for 22 WMR but I long for the days when I could get a brick (500 rounds) of 22 Magnum for about $75 to $90. Still though $120 per brick is not terrible considering ammo prices over the past few years, especially with the scarcity of 22 WMR that lasted until very recently and still is somewhat in effect. I am hopeful that it soon it will be more abundant and will come down even more in price.
I haven't seen that yet for 5.56. I've been watching hoping to buy low type thing.
To be honest only recently having gotten back into the .223/5.56 game I wasn't really tracking those prices during the obummer years. From my preferred place I'm seeing around .33 for bulk 5.56 surplus, give or take a penny. Steel case is around .29. My favorite stuff has been slowly dropping a penny here and there since the election.
I think bulk 5.56 should be around 25 cent a round but maybe I'm just a dreamer.
Those are pre Obama prices. That's about where it was at in my Army days with a Colt 6920 that still said LE only on it. I doubt we will see ammo come back down to that level ever again.

I believe those prices to actually be prices before GWB was president or otherwise were even lower then. Yes, ammo went up under Obama but they first went up under Bush when fuel prices soared and places like UPS decided to charge more for deliveries (and I think never went back down when fuel prices eased up some but still remained high). Politicians screw up everything, I do not care whether they are on the left or the right - they are the cause of many of our problems and while I do not directly blame either president for the rising and falling prices, I do blame many of the economic policies put in place by politicians in general that affect how oil producing counties see us and thus how they price oil. Ammo is heavy and I cannot blame shippers for raising prices.
On the other hand, there is the issue of the ammo shortage that at least in part was caused by the purchase of millions and millions and millions of rounds of ammo by government agencies under Obama. I wonder if that was a concerted effort to cause the commercial ammo supply to dry up. I am not saying it was for certain, just wondering.
