We refine plenty, but, as it turns out, the easiest stuff to refine is cheaper to do elsewhere.I'm skeptical of that working. We generally don't refine our own oil. We will still need oil from other parts of the world due to composition.

Our refineries are setup to deal with the more difficult stuff. They are capable of refining the light stuff, but if we did that we wouldn't have anyone we could ship the heavy stuff to and would have an overall shortage of refining capacity.
But, you're not wrong to say that we have a shortage of refining capacity more than production capacity.
It's been a lot easier to drill a new well than to build a new refinery in the US for a long, long time.
It's like building a new nuke plant hard. Every blue haired freak for 1000 miles will show up with a new lawsuit.

Maybe. We will see how many get deported and who gets deported and how America perceives it. The deportations could sour and go south quickly. A kid dies in a raid or a women gets raped and murdered who was deported back and it won’t go well. Time will tell.
They already backed off the Chicago deportation raids because a Biden lover leaked it. So papers have been signed but action needs to be taken in a way that keeps people on his side.

Wong Kim Ark was born in San Francisco to parents who were both Chinese citizens who resided in the United States at the time. At age 21, he returned to China to visit his parents who had previously resided in the United States for 20 years. When he returned to the United States, Wong was denied entry on the ground that he was not a citizen
Conclusion
Because Wong was born in the United States and his parents were not “employed in any diplomatic or official capacity under the Emperor of China,” the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment automatically makes him a U.S. citizen. Justice Horace Gray authored the opinion on behalf of a 6-2 majority, in which the Court established the parameters of the concept known as jus soli—the citizenship of children born in the United States to non-citizens.
