I meant in power at the national level. That is the bait they were laying out for Trump, then they could say how bad the right is coming into dem strongholds and crushing liberty.
(Some/a lot) of people just don't care about that creepiness. Otherwise he'd be sunk already. In my mind both candidates are trash. Gun rights and him presenting an obvious target to galvanize activism are reasons why I prefer Trump to Biden. But I suspect the Democrats are taking this one.

I like to work hard and help people. I like to take care of my family and see them succeed. I love this country. I like nice things. I like good over evil. I like law and order. I like the constitution. I like being left alone. I like deciding for myself what and how I will care for my health and the health of my family. I don't like being taken advantage of. I am kind to everyone that is kind to me. I am pro Israel. I hate terrorism both foreign and domestic. I like borders. I don't like sanctuary cities/states. I like more money in my pocket. I have a huge heart for animals. I hate unnecessary regulations. I like our military and law enforcement. I despise pedophilia and sex/human trafficking. I hate Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer and all of those that have done NOTHING other than try to get rid of Trump. I like low unemployment and a strong economy. If a Trump election further forces me to deal with what he represents I'll gladly deal with it.

They would rather have 4 more years of trump, 4 more years of anger, outrage, frustration, political energy, monetary donations, political action groups, civil unrest etc. They are going to position themselves for 2024 when TX will be in play. They want the country to be in chaos and they will feed into it
They aren't fearful of trump being president. They know they have everything stacked against him to thwart his agenda. They have the courts, bureaucrats, deep state, media, justice department and everything else on their side which will act in a concerted effort to bog down anything trump tries to accomplish. Look at the past 4 years of gridlock. Expect 4 more years of political undermining.

I just watched the opening of the RNC, it was nearly perfect, as far as I can tell. No bashing the left, barely anyone mentioned Biden, Except for Rep Geotz, who said "I come to from and empty auditorium, it's as empty and Joe Biden Schedule", that was hilarious, LOL
every speaker was articulate, well spoken and made sense. NO bashing the left, yet. But a lot of Praising Pres. Trump, not mushy praise, genuine praise for a job well done, so far. Promises made, Promises Kept.
I hope the rest of the RNC goes the same way, the DemocRATs have pretty much hung themselves. at no point has the left told America what the plan was/is, what their policies will be. All they did was bash Pres. Trump. Thats not a winning strategy.

I'm not trying to patronize you. At this point, we simply have very different perspectives on Trump. There are many items in your list that I agree with.

My mistake sir. One of the downfalls of typing words on a screen. No tone. I am confused though. Do you not believe that the items you agree with are what Trump also agrees with?
My vision of a great America is much more humanist and "progressive" than Trump's. He wants law and order at all costs whereas I want justice at all costs. His nationalist rhetoric goes beyond wanting a strong America: he basically says f*ck the rest of the world. My outlook is much more universalist. I understand his hardball tactics but don't have much respect for his character. His bombastic statements on race, women and nearly every other topic he speaks on put the United States in a very dim light. He's an embarrassment in my eyes. We can appreciate some (or even many) of the same things but the devil's in the details and Trump's ideas about how to implement his agenda, and his behavior on the international stage make it impossible for me to get behind him.

Got it. IMHO we have been taken advantage of by others for so long due to weakness in our leadership that I find it refreshing to be a bull in a china shop so to speak. I am not one for the "it takes a village" mentality and I guess that carries over to the world. If every country did the right thing by their citizens and had a true love of their country then IMHO the world would be a much better place. If you are confident in your business you don't have to worry about the business of others. In a perfect world we would have everything we want in a president. Character, humility, smarts and all of the other perfect attributes of mankind. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world. I learned a long time ago in practice you can't save the world but you can kill yourself trying. You save the people that want to be saved. Personally I don't care if other countries "like" us. I would rather they respect us in the sense of knowing not to screw with us. In life I really don't care that much if other people like me. As long as I have the love of my family, some friends and the respect of my patients I'm good. I care about results. Bombastic statements on race and women? Please provide some examples for me. We had 8 years of a very smooth, polished, well spoken man loved by the rest of the world. How'd that work out for the United States of America?

No need to be sorry. I go by evidence. And the evidence I see is that our side does nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. We have a Republican President and a Republican house. Where is our National Reciprocity? Why aren’t previous executive orders on the banning of Russian firearms from import rescinded? Why aren’t we lobbying for them to act? Why are we letting ANTIFA and BLM destroy our neighborhoods? Why are law enforcement who say that they are on our side arresting people for driving through the state with a pistol? Why aren’t we protesting the police who do so? Why are our servicemen in Fort Drum who take it upon themselves to protect businesses from looting arrested by law enforcement for not having a registered pistol?
Why? When are we going to stand up? Tomorrow is the answer. Never today? There is a new law about to be passed that bans you from buying a new barrel for your rifle and installing it yourself? What are we doing to stop it? Nothing. When it passes, we will just accept it. That’s it.
What are we doing to stop illegal immigration? What are we doing to stop our teachers from teaching our kids liberalism? What are we doing to stop the media from reporting biased news with only half of the story?
Nothing. So when you say that you think things will get better, I say show me. Show me what has been done in the past to stop things from getting worse. Show me the plan for the future other than just hoping for tomorrow that someone or a group of someones will stand up.
What are we doing to law enforcement that shuts down businesses for violating Covid orders? Nothing.
See what I mean? The truth is in the pudding. There is absolutely no evidence that proves that we will do something. None. On the contrary everything proves that we will do nothing.

The trick is to retain the means of resistance until that point.
The tyrants know this, and that is why they are so gung ho on gun control.
They know that if they don't disarm us before the chickens come home to roost on their major plans that they will have a very bad time.
So basically, the longer we can hold onto our guns, the longer we can forestall the implosion. We don't actually have to shoot anyone, just retain the ability to do so.
It's like MAD in the cold war. You never need to actually nuke your enemy, you just need them to believe you can and then you'll never have to.

We can’t even organize to protest. What makes you think that we will conduct combat missions? We will kiss our families goodbye forever to never see them again? For what? A semi auto ban? A relaxing of the borders? More taxes? I’m curious to what it would realistically take? Because other than a house to house where the government decides to kill all occupants and or put them in re-education camps (which is far fetched) , it ain’t happening.
