If 30 random people just decided they were going to fight back, and then 30 random judges and legislators who were recently in the headlines for egregious violations got killed, how fast do you think they would track that down ?
If you decided tomorrow that the prosecutor abusing the McCloskey’s needed to go, how long would it take them to make that connection back to you ?
Remember the DC snipers, how long it took them to find those guys ?

The vast majority of the swamp critters do not have a security detail.
It also depends, are you a lone actor ? Then people with security details are too ambitious to be targets for you.
If you've got a dozen guys with you, then there won't be a detail left to be witnesses.
Also, if things are bad enough, then risk tolerance is much higher. Right now even with a 90% chance of getting away, most people wouldn't take it.
But if things get Venezuela bad, maybe you're more willing to roll those dice.

They have poisoned 10s of millions of peoples minds against Trump. I know people who believe Trump has killed gays in the street and has completely destroyed our country. 10s of millions who would NEVER vote Trump.

I know Democrats deep in the throws of TDS who are pissed the Democratic Party decided to run Creepy Joe and Ugly Ho. They are seriously considering voting 3rd party as a result.
The #walkaway movement is gaining strength, as more and more Democrat Voters feel disenfranchised by their own Party.
Biden was, literally, the worst possible choice they could have made short of sticking Ol' Hag Hillary back up there. But even the other options had little chance to beat Trump if they continued down the "ban guns", "tax everything in sight", "shit on honest citizens" paths.
Which is why what they SHOULD be doing is ignoring those extremist groups. Those will not help them win the President's seat.
I submit that the majority of voters are more "moderate", and middle-of-the-road. We've seen Republicans lose spectacularly when they start veering off to the extreme Right, and now we're seeing the pendulum swing back the other way. The Democrats have veered so far left they have abandoned their base. These "moderate" voters will not vote for the extremists. They may not, necessarily, vote Republican, but they surely will not support what the Democratic Party has become.
Right now, this election is for each Party to lose.
Democrats are doing a great job of losing it. It is up to Republicans to NOT go full retard Right-wing and drive people away who are holding their noses to vote for them.
I cant think of a better choice than Biden. He does have the support of many moderates and independents because he is not too far left but also can get the "never Trumpers" because of his "new found" leftist views.
And they absolutely DO need all of those groups to win and want them badly. They have been begging for their support for the last 4 years.
Without Bernie and AOC and LGBT and BLM voters, they stand no chance.

My niece and about a dozen of her friends who voted for Trump in 2016 because he was a business man and they thought he might do a good job are ALL voting for Biden because they have a laundry list of things Trump has failed at. Most things he has no choice over but my niece and friends are young and dumb.....family leave, child care, fracking on Refuges, cutting environmental safeties......
Then you have the Repubs against Trump....Lindsey Graham, Mitt Romney....and that group is growing as fast as the walk away group.
I know Trump is going to win because I still have faith in the independents and moderates to pull us through, because after all, they choose the president every time.

I don't think the "they want to lose" is some sort of strategic vision, but I am sure they have some people who feel that way and are working for it.
I am also sure that the vast majority of them desperately want to win and many would do anything they think will help.
A single person can hold contradictory ideas or motives, it's called cognitive dissonance.
A large group of people, even if seemingly united behind a cause, will almost certainly do so.

I was pointing out that it's almost certain that both claims are correct, since any group the size of the Democrat party is unlikely to have a single coherent vision.
They certainly have people in leadership positions who want Trump to win, and they also certainly have people who want him to lose.
The contradiction you are trying to point out is not a fault in our logic here, it's the Democrats inability to form a coherent plan.
I feel far more confident in my vote this year than 2016. Back then Trump was the least bad option, especially compared to hillary. Now I am pro Trump. He is not perfect. His style needs... polish to say the least. But for the most part his policies are a clear preference compared to Biden and the democrats. His biggest fault is his fiscal irresponsibility. Unfortunately he learned there is no political reward for adhering to a balanced budget so he doesn't even pay it lip service these days. On the plus side, unlike his execrable predecessor he has not turned the executive branch into a weapon against American citizens or his political opponents. If Biden gets in the same despicable crew will return and our migration to an official banana republic will be complete.

And there are WAY more of them in the form of the indoctrinated, self-absorbed, participation trophy Millenials in those Key States with vast Urban Centers, like CA, NY, CT, MA, etc, than there are conservative Gen X'ers and Baby Boomers combined. Trump is the most visible elected official in the world. Rhetoric and words (spoken, written and tweeted) are the means by which he influences and implements policy. This is not a football game where his physical actions are the bottom line.
