I’m actually building the ultimate Fudd gun. It’s a thorden stock that I got cheap on here and a .233 upper that I got on here. I will put a CMMG .22 bolt in it for the kids to F with.

I think fitelite beats thordsen for fuddery (not for fuddy reasons but for necessity) especially if you go with the wood like Pod is thinking..
But I would say .22lr would be a good fudd round

7.62 x 40 wt? That's one I've never seen before. Time to do some research.
Slightly longer than the 300BLK with somewhat higher velocities with similar weight bullets. Essentially duplicates 7.62x39 ballistics. It's a proprietary Wilson Combat cartridge. Frankly I think there is zero point to it since 6.8SPC betters it in every way. Except magazine capacity I suppose.

Honesty an SCR isn't fudd enough. A Remington 7400...now that's a fudd semi auto.
With guns like that I wonder if versions that look more like old school early postwar automatics like the FN49 and so on would appeal? Most folk outside of hunters seem to prefer an enshrouded barrel. I know I do.

Just because it has wooden furniture doesn't make it a FUDD gun though.
It's the lack of a proper pistol grip on a modern sporting rifle that makes it very ugly looking. You're just not hip without a pistol grip. An AR-15 without a pistol grip is like a morbidly obese women with yoga pants on. It just looks awful on that type of frame, not as easy to grip, and isn't everyone's first choice.

That is what a fixed magazine rifle is. A sexy chick on the exterior that doesn’t put out and when she does, she just lays there without reloading. A sexy chick that is prone to nothing but problems.

The first one is sick although the finished wood grip probably sucks for actual grip. The second one eh. A stick mag in an AR lower is like yoga pants to me. Something just looks wrong. But if it has curvature to it it looks ok imo. So a pistol caliber AR with a glock mag looks funny to me but if it had an mp5 type mag it would look good. That small difference is all it takes.
