With only 1week to go, it's time to start ramping up for our 6th annual Outdoor Sports & Gun Show on Saturday, September 25, 2021!

Here are some highlights about how the day will look:
  • Swap Meet & Gun Show: New & used shooting, archery, fishing, hunting items, and other outdoor sport related items. There will be a variety of vendors.
  • Silent Auction
  • Air Rifle Shooting: For all ages (above 6)
  • Air Pistol Shooting: For all ages (above 6)
  • Food
  • Special Appearance by CJ from "Wakin' up with CJ and Jess" on the The Wolf 97.7/97.3/105.5

There are a number of ways that you can help make this year's event a success
  • Reserve a vendor space, or get together with a friend to share the cost. We all have extra gear we just don't use anymore: shooting, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor sports related items. What better way to clean out your closet?
  • Donate a service or item for the Silent Auction
  • Sponsor the event with a cash donation
  • Volunteer to work at the event. An online sign-up will be available soon.

Spread the word! If you know of anyone who might be interested in reserving a vendor space or providing a donation of some kind, be sure to let them know about the event. You'll find a copy of the flyer and the registration packet on our Swap Meet web page.

Sponsor a lawn sign. We are ordering new lawn signs this year to reflect the new date and a small change with this year's event. (This year we will be requesting $1 donation at the entrance gate.) The signs have been ordered and are due to be delivered by August 30. Consider sponsoring a sign with a donation of just $5 per sign.

The DCPA Outdoor Sports and Gun Show is TODAY, Sept 25th, at 47 Saint Nicholas Rd, Wappingers Falls,NY.

I'm heading to the Hamburg show late, probably afternoon. I don't want to stand in line for a hour to get in, like at the Syracuse show last fall. Crazy. But at least Hamburg has close parking.
Or maybe I will just go Sunday. The Game isn't until 4:30.

What time was that? I got there around 10:00 and the line was a little shorter, just the other side of the Casino entrance. It moved pretty well though, I don't think we waited more than 15 minutes.

Prices seemed OK, nothing great. My son bought a Mossy 500 at average price. I picked up a Taurus Tracker 4" in 357 that beat all the on-line prices by about 10 bucks after factoring in the FFL fee I would have had to pay.

10:34 am. That was line in front of me. Another 50 or so behind me. As people moved in, the line was constantly backfilled to the casino corner. About 15 minutes to get in.

Lots of people without masks. No ball busting, no stink eye. Some in masks but that's their free choice as it should be.

Went to the Erie county show today. Found myself a decent deal on a Glock G44 with spare magazine and 500 rounds of CCI high velocity. Seemed like twice the number of vendors than in previous years. Product selection was not as great. I noticed lots of Glocks, smith and wessons, Springfield XD’s, tons of featureless/fixed mag AR15’s, tons of 12 gauge Turkish shotguns, tons of 28 gauge and 20 gauge field/trap/sporting shotguns.

I noticed there was almost no AK’s, modern style 1911’s, 12 gauge mossberg 500’s/590’s, and almost no hunting bolt action rifles in 243/270/308, and almost no bolt action 22LR rifles.

there was of course the ubiquitous crap gas station knives, way over priced ammo, questionable reloads, and some old fart selling a crap M1 garand pieces together from 3-4 different M1’s and asking $4k for it because “it’s mah gun that won deem der World War Two”

Just got back. Virtually no line, mask police at the door (their requests went unheeded from me), and a decent crowd. Seemed like the same old faces and vendors. To a point, that's a good thing. Grabbed some ammo any my typical tee shirt and bench mat. Looked like the vast majority were happy to be mask sheep.

My son and I were there at noon. No line at all. No waiting.

As soon as we walked in, cool guy with a gun and a fake badge asked if we had masks, I said nope and grabbed one of their paper ones. First trash can we came to, threw them away.

Lots of the usual junk. We scanned and moved quick through. I saw that Home | Sugarbush Armory LLC was there. Had a really nice table set up. Spoke with one of the guys, nice dude. They had a great selection, to include some very nice Suppressors. I think I may need to pick one or two of those up soon. Their prices were very decent. He is going to order me a couple of lowers that I want.

We were able to get a few non gun related toys. I spent wayyyyyy to much.

Sick of winter yet again, looking for warm things to do. Been wanting to attend outdoor, home, boating, and gun shows at the state fairgrounds but so far all have been mask mandated. I refuse to wear them so I haven't even tried attending any so far. Might consider wearing one to walk through the doors for the spring gun show but after that they can kick me out.

So I went to Middletown's show today. Wasn't that bad! I was expecting it to be terrible going by all the reviews of shows in general online.

I wouldn't say there were any deals but it was fun to see all the oddball stuff. My favorite part was talking to the guy who customizes 10/22s. Those look awesome with the rainbow wood stocks and bull barrels. It isn't worth $1000 however.

Unfortunately only a couple things seemed fairly priced. I saw some .22 ammo for 10 cents a round, and I saw an m&p 15-22 for $500. Other than that everything seemed crazy from what I could tell. Some guys were selling shockwaves for $680! And he was moving them too. Henry .22s were like $600. The funniest thing I saw was a beat to shit SKS going for I think $700

Spring Show in April is generally a very good one, it's the only one we're doing from here on out.
April 23-24 2022

Edited to add: There is NO MASK requirement for the Syracuse Gun Show at the State Fairgrounds.
