Did you see they arrested a FDNY guy after watching him buy constitutionally protected items at a gun show in Pennsylvania. They followed him all the way to New York then arrested him. I wonder what the whole story is.

I saw that story, he was dabbling in those "scary" ghost guns. Oaks was a great show a few years ago, especially the big 2000 table one. I've driven down twice for it, looking to go again. I don't expect the deals that were available back a couple of years, but there's always some interesting stuff. Can't believe the staties were running a surveillance op during the show, yikes

If you own a 10/22 and you fancy the custom builds why not build your dream rifle your self?
Very good tutorial on Brownells for barrel installation. Although I would invest in the head space gauges. You could also borrow them for a one time build. The 10/22 is very user friendly to work on. And very rewarding. But the SKS? Wow! That’s craaaazy shit man.

We'll be at the Syracuse Gun Show in Row's N & O Tables 35~39
There wasn't a Mask requirement for the Show, and unless bloody hell ensues there won't be, although I would encourage some to bathe and Brush their teeth prior to attending.
The Spring Show is usually VERY BUSY and there's a long line to get in on Saturday when it opens.
Sunday mornings are a bit slow, more relaxed until about 12:00 then the feeding frenzy starts....Show Closes at 3:00

Extremely upset, just realized my drill weekend will be falling on the gun show date… been looking forward to this for awhile.

Yup, It was decent. Managed to avoid spending too much. That damn .50 BMG was calling out to me though!

Seemed to be plenty of .223 .308 7.62x39 9mm. Need more 30-30 but holy crap was it high everybody was $45 a box. Might have to sell off my lever guns! Speaking of lever guns - when did the price on Marlins get to be 1300-1600 bucks?!? I think that we are living through the end of Milsurps. As high price as an M1 Garand is (1500+) It is the best buy for the money compared to 700+ SKS's, 1300+ 1903's and Eddystones, and 800+ on off nation Mausers. I know that the current admin. has blocked a lot of imports but a Mosin 91/30 just ain't a 500+ rifle. Love them but they just aren't worth that. Surprisingly Enfields haven't gotten too out of hand and there was some affordable Swiss stuff. Still was some ok deals there though. Worse things too do than look at guns on a gloomy CNY day!

I was sorely disappointed, after waiting in line and fighting the shoulder-to-shoulder crowd not to mention the baby strollers I found very few deals. I did buy some .45 Colt even though I already have what I need. I passed on some .45 at a $1.00 per case! Primers where $165 per 1000 (wow). I left with my wallet still full.
All though I didn’t go I did get to shoot the .50 cal this weekend for the first time

Ammunition and its components are a commodity subject to supply and demand just like any other; when there's plenty and nobody is stocking up the prices go down, when demand is high and or supply is low the prices go up....we see it every day with petroleum products.
If I put out Bricks of 22's for $25 that I bought a decade ago for $20 they'd be scarped up by the first person to see them with money in their hand, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them being flipped for $50 a brick, and when I go to replace them that's what I'm likely going too. Resupply costs dictate sales prices in proportion to demand.

Anyone go to the Hamburg show today? There were some pretty fair deals. Some ammo was bonkers but most sellers had it priced reasonably by todays standards. Lots of good prices on guns. Saw a new CZ75 BD for $600 even. Was super hard to pass that up.

The Hamburg show was a good one. Applause to everyone involved.
As usual, I was a bit disappointed with some of the prices and lack of individual dealing.
I was going to buy a lower, was told the price, I showed the vendor four places on line that I could get it cheaper, ask if he was willing to meet me halfway between the two prices, flat out no. He seemed pissed that I would even ask.
Went with a pocketful of cash, came home with the same cash.

Any word on next weeks fall gun show at the NYS Fairgrounds?
I can't attend either way, but I cant find any news on it. Seems it would be cancelled with all the new laws, but it's high time they permanently find a new home for the biggest show in NY.
