Not at all, he has proven that the "storm rifle" is actually an assault rifle, it was designed for the infantryman to "storm" an area which is another military term to...... assault.

I was in the Marines. Only did a year in the Army National Guard on a try 1 year program.

Anyway, it's a made up term. No actual place holds an official definition for it. It's just what some guys think it is.

You are not listening. If they aren't selective fire, don't use detachable magazines and are not chambered in some kind of intermediate cartridge then it ain't an Assault Rifle.

That's my point. At some point in time someone came up with a term in reference to and idea or product. So to sit there and claim that "assault rifle" isnt real and a made up term 75 years after the first (successful) assault rifle concept was introduced and since then has been in use is asinine.

It's an informal term. Like how the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is referred to as the "Viper".
The name Viper isn't listed in any official documentation for the F/A-18E/F but everyone calls it the Viper anyway.

What an amazing piece of engineering and craftsmanship. I wouldn't want to shoot one but never the less it is a very impressive piece of work especially when you consider it is a concept with origins in the 1600's!!!!
