Do you know that it's a felony to hire illegals, even to do Farm work? We're a rural Dairy Farming Community and a few years back that hired some Guatemalans of which some had dubious paperwork, and the Farmer DID check with the system the government demanded employers use... well one got killed in an accident, and about a week later the Feds came up from Syracuse with a SWAT Team to arrest him for hiring illegal immigrants.
The Apple Orchard uses a crew from Jamaca, spends thousands per person to obtain VISA's Airline Transportation, Housing, Insurance, at.al. AND pays them $19.xx an hour... doesn't sound like they're being exploited to me.
Almost no one has issue with people coming to America to work or settle so long as it's done in the established Legal fashion... we vet people coming in for a reason, and simply allowing them in because they'll do the jobs Americans don't want to is not sufficient enough.
Murder for hire, Drug running, Human Trafficking, violent crime, and others are jobs most Americans don't want to do either.

I saw some possible "asylum seekers" today at Wally world. One group of 4 young men (mid20s) were filling carts with food, one guy had a cart filled to overflowing with Spanish food. All were jibber jabbering about the selections (my belief), not one of them showed any concern about prices of anything! Just pick it and toss it in a cart. That was just one group. One woman had a cart with must've been 10, twenty pound bags of rice plus other stuff. I saw some that seemed puzzled over something in the deodorant/toothpaste area and broke out laughing.
My bitch is who's paying for all this? The feds say "no, they are not eligible for gvmt assistance, BUT the gvmt gives big money to groups like Catholic Family charities and they give it to the illegals.

Honestly buying bulk food at Walmart they're more likely than average to be productive, possibly even legal immigrants. I'm not pissed off about people shopping for food and eating. If they are shopping for their own groceries then a 20 lb bag of Texas long-grain from Walmart is a very economical choice.
What we're seeing now is fighting-age men swarming in, being put up in hotels for 100s per night and given free hot meals; many such cases.
That being said, I for one don't think we need more unskilled foreigners with no historical ties to our nation "coming to America to work or settle." American agriculture has always stood on its own two feet. If the vegetable fields or olive and citrus groves need more incentives to be harvested, the solution is not masses of imported peons. It is tariffs on competing foreign-grown product from low-wage nations to the point where the cost evens out. That's what Korea does to keep its high altitude, terraced domestic mountain rice farms going in the face of a brutal global commodity rice market.
For large-scale farming we are going to see advanced farm robotics and machinery automating away much of the field cultivation and harvest labor just as has been done years ago with grains.

If NYC is suing every single county with a state of emergency order, then it is indicating that it intends to actually send migrants to each of them. If it doesn't intend to send migrants, then there is no "controversy" and the case is academic and would be dismissed against that county.
And they are suing all these counties on their home turf in Manhattan. How exactly that is supposed to be just? Well, it's New York, so, you tell me.

My SIL just texted my wife that they were on the way back from Cape May heading towards their home in Southwick Mass and they were rear ended by an immigrant that had been given temporary insurance from "the lovely state of NY." She got out of the car and was freaking out on the individual who according to her spoke very little English.
