Just as the title suggests. I don't mean to sound overly dramatic or in a panic. I know that even though one party controls the entire government it doesn't necessarily mean everything on their agenda will get accomplished. That said, gun control is at the very top of the dems list and the difference this time is that they seem emboldened and very eager to go whole hog without a care. They have control and all they need is one more mass shooting, which they could now blame on their new found terrorist group of patriots and Trump supporters. One more mass shooting and they could very likely get a lot of bad gun control through. An AWB like or worse than the safe act, universal background checks, online gun and ammo bans, magazine bans, taxes, registration, confiscation, Etc., Etc.. and of course the grand daddy of gun control, the repealing of the 2nd amendment itself. I know that if they did manage to get the repeal through congress, the states would more than likely NOT ratify it. The idea that it would make it even that far though is disturbing to me (and I'm sure most on here).
So, my prompt for discussion here is, what do you think is likely to happen? What is likely to pass? What do you think the reactions of states and/or the general population will be? If a repeal attempt does make it through congress and get to the states for ratification, what do you think would happen and what would the aftermath look like? Do you think after a repeal attempt you could see gun friendly states passing laws to protect the 2nd or no? Do you see any push back happening? I'm just curious what everyone is thinking.
