The good Samaritans might have stuck their noses in when they shouldn't have, especially considering there was no threat to life, at least as reported. That being said if more evidence is presented that says the thief's were armed I will change my opinion

I disagree, if no weapon is present and/or no ones physical well being is being threatened then let the cops handle it. If the robbers were pointing a gun at the clerk and demanding money, or jacking a get away car then the situation changes and I say they get what they get.

I think customers drew but didn’t think about next step if suspects failed to acquiesce.

What they did was probably not quite legit and if they are smart they will not come forward and if cops are decent they will not try too hard to find these guys (customers).

Here is another point: People say "it's just stuff, you have insurnace, let it go, let the cops handle it". well here the thing, I and many people work very hard to aquire stuff, I shouldn't have to pay a monthly fee to 'protect' my stuff from some twatwaffel. If some twatwaffel thinks he can steal my stuff and not pay a price, they will continue to steal my stuff. if that person knows that if he gets caught stealing my stuff his life is over, maybe he'll think it's probably not a go idea to take something that doesn't belong to him/her.

It's ok for them to take shots but not a civilian. My answer to this is, if they were not on meth they wouldn't of been out stealing shit to pawn to go buy their cheap ass poision.
This is only one theft of many they committed for pennies on the dollar. They steal everyday to support their habit on our dime.
Who ever did the shooting should of stayed there and gave their side of what took place, I have a problem with that.

That Costal farm store is about ten miles from our house. My brother in law and his fat ass libaturd old lady just got done shopping there and were getting into their car when the shooting took place.

how is my garage the same as a retail store? I dont endorse stealing or any other illegal activity.In my worldview stealing is not a death sentence. That doesn't mean im gonna invite people to take whats mine. If an intruder is in my home or on my property there are levels of escalation, if an intruder wants to move up the ladder to reach new levels im ready willing and able to do whats needed to stop them. Keep the discussion in the context of the posted story and dont wander off into "what if" scenarios. In the linked article I dont believe the response from the "shoppers" was warranted for the situation. Its even mentioned that the sight of the guns drawn did not deter the thieves, however once the thieves decided to use their car as a weapon the dynamic has shifted and theres more of an argument for deadly force.

Each scenario is different and nuanced. The line is much thinner at home than in a public place. Its not up to me to pretend im a policeman and stop a couple thugs from snatch and grabbing a few tools. Now if they presented a weapon while doing so the scenario changes doesn't it? Iv said more than once in the above posts that if someones life or well being was in harms way my tactics and attitude would change.
