I don’t think in the way of plate armour as most of any instances of need will be against handguns IMO. Since my soft concealable body armour vest is rated for up to and includng .44 magnum, slash and strike all is good. If hit with a rifle round then it is better than nothing.

Body armor is probably used in like .001% of violent crime.

It's a passive protection that doesn't harm anyone. Yet, they don't want us common folk from being able to posses it.

What conclusions can we infer?

They want to make it easier to kill us. Period. No other explanation makes sense.


Body armor for civilians used to be so obscure and fringe no one paid attention. Lately there is now an entire industry of civilian body armor and it's grown to become much more common so they are trying to put a stop to it now that we are all buying in a stocking up. They can't have us protecting ourselves.

For all intents and purposes you should be good with lvl. 3, it’ll take multiple hits from .308, M855 and m193, 3+ if you plan on getting pegged by AP rounds

I don't plan on getting pegged by anything but I will plan for the worst. I have my eye on the LAPG Level IV when they are available again.
