Democracy in action
Ukrainian authorities have banned the country’s main opposition party and seized all its assets, once again undermining the narrative that President Zelensky is presiding over a beacon of democracy.
The country’s Ministry of Justice announced the move via Facebook, revealing that the Opposition Platform — For Life had been shut down and its assets, money and property transferred to the state.
The party had previously had its operations suspended in March after it was accused of being complicit with Russia and being “anti-Ukrainian.”
The ban means that Zelensky’s main political opposition has been eliminated. The OPPL was the second largest party in the country and its popularity surpassed that of Zelensky’s Servant of the People party last year.
Its leader Viktor Medvedchuk, who claims he is merely looking out for the interests of the Ukrainian people by seeking better relations with Russia, was placed under house arrest last month.
The announcement said the party was suspected of acting to “undermine the sovereignty” of Ukraine, with authorities have already banned 10 other political opposition parties for the same reason.
Last month, President Zelensky signed a bill into law that gave the green light to ban any party that challenged the government’s policy on the Russian invasion, empowering courts to seize assets without the right to appeal.
Ukrainians who engage in dissent are also being rounded up and arrested by armed men from the Ukraine Security Service.
As we previously highlighted, Ukraine is also attempting to extradite and imprison citizens who live in other European countries if they criticize Zelensky.

This is it for Ukraine. They are being cut off from maneuvering and will be encircled by superior forces with better supply. They will get cut off and ground down until they surrender or are destroyed.
This is exactly what happened on the eastern front countless times in ww2.

Half a million people in Kaliningrad are effected by Lithuanian blockade. I wonder what would happen if they show up at the Lithuanian border as civilians and hold Maidan type of rally, protest, civil disobedience, uncivil disobedience. Who can really blame them. It could get interesting.
It's unconscionable that descendants of WWII victors are under any kind of blockade by descendants of Nazi allied power. Blockade of Leningrad wasn't enough? I know it's not the same, at least not yet, but still, will not look good for EU.

They could show up as refugees and ask to be fed.
Would be in NATO's interest to just send them home and ship in food. Much easier than dealing with refugee camps.
Tell them to go back to work, and get the grocery stores new suppliers.
Convince them they want independence and to join the EU.
Problem solved.
They are not hungry, they are angry. They also have a long memory of Lithuanian atrocities committed on Russian territory during WWII. It was swept under the rug during Soviet era because Lithuania was a part of USSR.
Lithuania may be in for more than they thought.

He ran on stopping the war in Donbas and improving relations with Russia platform. He won, that was the will of the Ukrainian people. As soon as he won his position has changed under the pressure from Washington politburo. He is a puppet who sold out his country to Western interests. It will cost Ukraine thousands of lives. When all is said and done this will be his legacy.

Withdrawal around Lysychansk and Severodonetsk has been chaotic. Incoming and outgoing MLRS fire very close to us, planes firing rockets, American M777s deployed around the towns. Constant stream of vehicles carrying soldiers out towards Bakhmut and surrounds.

The Ukrainian front in the east is collapsing. Whatever forces that are left in Lysichansk are now trapped . Russians have captured town after town and closed off the roads to and from Lysichansk. This reminds me of the Nazis in 1943. the war was lost , they still had a hell of fighting force left but the writing was on the wall, just a matter of time. The Ukrainians cannot replace the NATO trained troops they have lost . Their ranks have been degraded, as well as the air force, armor, artillery, stocks of Russian ammo they cant source out in quantity.
