When I hear the reports in western media from random Ukrainian officials more or less all saying the same "we're winning, we're hitting them so hard, we just need more weapons" it's exactly the type of rhetoric I would expect someone who is losing and doesn't want to panic the troops to say.

Ukraine has the same strategy that the North Vietnamese and Taliban had. Make the cost of victory for your superior opponent too high.

Remind me again who's running Vietnam and Afghanistan ?

Hell, the Taliban are 2-0 against the US *and* Russia.

Theres no need to guess, the only purpose for NATO to bring its troop strength up to that number is that they are planning to ""save"" Ukraine and go to war with Russia.

Not only Western sanctions were ineffective, they dramatically raised the value of a Ruble and Russian revenues from oil and gas exports. Sanctions also gave Russia a green light to Nationalize Western investments on their territory. I seriously doubt Western mantra about Putin's mental downslide. Seems he is still playing 3-D chess and winning.

Our politicians are clearly dumbasses. That's the sad reality when 98% of our elected have never accomplished anything in the real world they are just career political lackeys that don't understand how things work.

They are imploding our economies and think it's good because it's fighting putin. Meanwhile Putin has no ill effects or will quickly recover. Once Russia decoupled from the west it's not going back. They will just keep aligning more closely with BRICs and as BRICs grow in strength they will rival and seek to supplant the USD as the global reserve currency. Once the USD is no longer the top dog it's game Fing over. Our 30.5 TRILLION debt will suddenly matter. A lot.

Like they think because they boycott his gas he won't just turn around and sell it to china, India, Africa etc... There will always be a market and demands. Russia produces and sells resources. there are countries lining up for those commodities. The US sells services and finished products.

I'm angry and justifiably so. My 401k has crapped itself, our economy is failing, inflation is skyrocketing, the cost of living is more every day and we're looking at a genuine depression all the while our politicians are telling us it's all to fight putin?! In what world do these morons live and why do they think this is a good idea.

All memes aside.... We literally are the meme of a kid that stuck a stick in the front wheel of our bike laying on the sidewalk bleeding

Now they've got NATO in Finland too, so add another 830 miles of border to that 1000.

Seems like if that was their goal, they really fucked it up.

They will have gained 1000 km of distance east to west from the previous Russian border creating a fairly large buffer zone. They have NATO on their border here, or they have NATO on their border there . Seems like a no brainier to me.

What do you see as the endgame here ?

Do you really think Russia will just occupy Ukraine and end up in a superior position globally to what they had in January ?

Think they will regain their former status as a respected global military power ?

Lysychansk has fallen, the Russians have crossed the Donesk river in multiple places, an attack on Sloviansk Has Already begun.

The fact that Russians have crossed in multiple areas means the Ukrainian artillery was either out of range or out of ammo

After Russians seize Sloviansk, the battle field is wide open farm lands which will lend itself to rapid manuevre warfare. If my estimates of Ukraine armor are correct, the following battles will be much more rapid and encirclement's will be everywhere. I personally dont believe the Ukis have the armor resources to conduct much manuevre warfare in central Ukraine. I believe they are going to collaspe soon after the fall of Sloviansk .

Of course CNN will say the Ukrainians are pushing or advancing toward Kiev.

Contrary to what many in this country believe, Mosin-Nagant sniper rifles are not regular Mosins with a scope added on. They were made in specialized machine shops, using different machining tools and methods. Made to different tolerances and had to pass an accuracy test.

That said, they are not comparable to modern sniper rifles. They are still being used, because they are light weight and simple.

Ahh, Yeah, Zelensky wont budge. The war is lost he just doesn't want to accept it yet. Its going to cost a lot more Russian and Ukrainian lives for no reason. If He thinks hes going to push the Russians back to the border hes drunk . Unless NATO jumps in, which is insane.
