That Russian su27 get wrecked. That's one of Russia's top fighter jets. Curious how much training and experience their pilots really have.
It's so surreal to see an actual real fighter jet dogfight over a neighborhood. It's like a movie but it's real.

For sure. This is a great example of why it's important for the citizen populace to be armed.
in the Russia example; even if only 10% of Americans would fight.... that's still about 33 million angry citizens with guns. The entire Russian ground forces is about 3 million soldiers and that is with their 2 million reserves. 33 vmillion vs 3 million, and that is entirely discounting the American military... good luck to Russia against that lol.
I can't tell which is which, but you can see the other pilot also ejected from the plane.
I genuinely don't know enough. I've tried to educate myself but everytime I read or hear something, I can just as easily find the exact opposite side of that piece of background story.
Here's what I think, I think.
I genuinely feel for the Ukrainian people.
If the majority of the Ukrainian people in the Donbass want to join Russia, whatever I'm fine with it. That's a very convoluted mess.
The rest of the Ukrainians are in the shit now and are fighting for their country's survival I can respect that.
I think that NATO shouldn't push Putin into a corner. I think NATO is "too bloated" from it's original purpose. I think we shouldn't provoke Russia or put pressure on them.
I think we could have made a better effort to bring Russia in as an ally into the western sphere because the last thing we want is china and Russia teaming up and it looks more like by the day.
I don't think Russia should be launching a full scale invasion into Ukraine and I hope it costs them.
I really don't know. I don't have a horse in the race.

I am not decided. I'm in the process of educating myself on the history of Ukraine, particularly the contested Eastern region and the regional actions of NATO over the years. I don't believe that Russia is portraying recent events accurately, and I feel the same about the Western media.

Well, I have mixed feelings, I do believe the Russians have the right to protect themselves from threats same as us , They let it be known for a long time that NATO in Ukraine is non negotiable. Same as Haveing Chineese naval bases in Vancouver or Toronto.They rattled thier swords for months and no one would even discuss it. I know other disagree, but Thats how I feel. This whole mess could have been negotiated with good leadership from NATO. In order to avoid a war , They could have made Ukraine a neutral country , A buffer zone for both countries We didnt have to place weapons in there or make them part of NATO , But the Ukrainian president (a Western puppet)was being a total dick , Like Trudeau. and now hes going to have to pay for his decision unless they broker an agreement With Russia.
On the otherhand , I love an underdog, rebels and people who tell the powers that be to go fuck themselves, I cant help but admire the braveness of the Ukrainans. And Of course my heart goes out to them . Its not easy to see anyone getting thier ass whipped . Especially civilians and regular Joes these people are innocent they did nothing to deserve it . Just thier asshole leaders like our own.

Simple for me. I will always root for the person opposed to the despots. I loathe abuse of power, I loathe oppression. Russia has it in spades. Their dictator wields violence to political end (imprisoning, killing political opponents), he crushes peaceful protests by the police. He wields his office to help only himself. Controls the media, controls the dialogue. He lies happily to achieve his ends, and now he has invaded a nation that had not invaded him, nor showed or ever would show any intent to do so or serve as a launching point for an invasion ever. His entire nato is threatening us he doesn't even believe, but he knows his weak minded supporters eat that shit up and ask for seconds.
Russian zealots will try to distract with donbas but russia's intent is to clearly neutralize ukraine's military and its government. This is a 44 million person country and most of the people do not want them there.
Case in point: Russia's threat to Finland. Putin is a bully and I love seeing bullies lose.
