America Loves a Caliber War!

It's nice to see that the caliber war is alive and well. I for one think of all the calibers out there as women. Each of them may have a different shape and personality but as long as they can perform when it counts, that's all that really matters.
Yeah but do you want a hot sexy woman that's thick in all the right places or a skinny anorexic one that needs a sammich?
From what I've seen in unscientific YouTube tests, those rounds had no such issues penetrating glass but rather had more defection of a few inches compared to other calibers that had minimal if not none.Worth mentioning that the 9mm has historically had issues penetrating auto glass and other barriers. Where the 40 out performed the 45 and the 9mm in these situations. I wonder if new loadings have alleviated the issue, or if police are settling for not shooting drivers through the windshield.
Well... the caliber wars may never end but at least the ak vs ar war has been settled.
5000 rounds of .22lr will fit in one .50cal ammo can.Not gonna argue. Not gonna cry. 40 cal and 10 mm are the only calibers that I don't have.
Nothing against them until I look at my ammo cabinet.
Yeah I am one of those guys that the news reporters gasp at while the pee in their panties. (and police found 5000 rounds of ammunition in the mans house) 5 or 10 thousand rounds ain't a lot, after all, they don't eat!
Probably 2500 .22's - 100 25 cal - thousands of 38 special for PPC
couple of hundred .357 Mag - 9mm and 380 and .45 ACP about a grand each.
Zero .40 or 10 mm. oops missed .32's none of those either.
Not even gonna mention my rifle ammo.
I just don't want to have another caliber to shop for. That is the only reason I don't own a gun in those calibers. However, if I happen to win one in a Gun Raffle well then I just figure God is trying to tell me something.
ps. I have never found a volunteer to take one for the team and allow himself to be shot my any of the calibers in my closet.... Just sayin.

500 rounds is one day at the range depending on what you're up to, so talking about some guy having "1000 rounds of x" would be like complaining that someone had "2 cases of beer, who needs that much"....."
The really screwy part, is the guy buying ammo 1000rnds at a time is more likely to be a law abiding gun owner than the guy who only wants one box.You hit the nail on the head.
Just like Cuomo screamed "nobody needs ten boolits to kiw a deeeeeaahhhh!"
My response is who are you to tell me what I need or don't need.
Now the mantra is people don't need AR-15's in the civilian world. Again my response is I may not need one but I want one.
and then I say, who are you to tell me what I need or don't need.
Some day soon with the technology we have today, some POS liberal will come up with legislation that will go something like this.
You are at a checkout station of your local store. You plop up a case of Sam Adams and a Case of Bud light on the belt.
The pimply faced son of a milineal rings it up and you get a warning.
He then says, sir, according to our records, you have purchased 2 other cases of beer in the past 36 hours. According to the new NY SAFE Drinkers Act you have to fill out this 4 page form and declare that you are not an alcoholic and explicitly declare the reason for having such a large quantity of beeeeeeah in your possession. If you are having a party, you must state the reason for the party and list the guests to the party and then their names will be check against known alcoholics, and on and on it goes.
Remember what our Governor says. Nobody needs 3 cases of beeeah unles they are having a party.
This is the real intent behind the Ammo Background Check of NY SAFE or the SA part of the acronym. Oh wait a minute sir, NY State wants to know why you are purchasing 40 cal ammo when you don't have a 40 cal registered on your license.
OR
Hmmmm is says here that you did not register a scary looking ASSault Rifle in 2014 why then are you purchasing these .223 rounds.
Not trying to hijack the thread.
Yep. I argue this point at work all the time with the Libs. They just cannot understand that in one hour 300 plus rounds are expended. I tell them I go through a minimum of a thousand rounds in the summer months in one month if I go multiple times to the range and they say it's still too many to keep at home. The really screwy part, is the guy buying ammo 1000rnds at a time is more likely to be a law abiding gun owner than the guy who only wants one box.
The vast majority of crimes committed with a gun involve less than 10 rounds. The guy who puts enough ammo downrange to need 1000rnds is obviously someone who isn't doing it to rob liquor stores......

Then I tell them that their argument is that we lowly civilians aren't trained like the military and police so when we do train it's a problem and don't train it's a problem.
They don't even know what they are arguing about.
Been saying this for years!27 handguns and not one .40 cal. Sorry but IMHO, it's the answer to a question no one axed.
Gotta pass, some of his goofy shit is what gives good gun owners a bad name. How do you know it's not DET? What the hell happened to him anyway? I wanna see more of his goofy shit!
