Anyways,
I hope you have your home wired for self destruction like the rest of us.
Right everyone? Right, we all do that..........or did someone lie to me??
When I lived in Florida thats the advice people gave when being chased by an alligator, zig- zag, zig -zagSerpentine!
A particular long gun maybe, but in most situations a long gun is preferable.I disagree with that quote. There are times when a long gun becomes a liability, not practical, or a nuisance.
What about if you are trying to rob someone. In that case a pistol trumps a long gun every time.A particular long gun maybe, but in most situations a long gun is preferable.
Sure, a Baretta might beat a Barrett for CQB, but a P90 beats them both.
Well we normally don't make recommendations on the best firearms to use if you are going to do those things. What about if you are trying to rob someone. In that case a pistol trumps a long gun every time.
Or if you are trying to blend in to assassinate someone.
For assassination, explosives are generally preferable, second choice is a long range high accuracy rifle, a pistol, not so much. What about if you are trying to rob someone. In that case a pistol trumps a long gun every time.

Thought this was a real event and we were gonna do a go fund me page to help with legal.
So you've already neutralized one threat he's on the ground bleeding, now you're going to leave the relative safety of a defensible position to peruse BG1-3 and continue the engagement? I'm no operator but that seems like a bad idea both tactically and legally unless we' re both grossly misunderstanding each other.I'm not sure I would check the assailant for anything, or try to "remove" his weapon... If weapon is in hand, he's still and threat, there will be no discussion, the only thing he will receive from me is more of what I already gave! I'm not going to get too close and get knifed or overpowered!
And for the record with multiple BG's I'm not going to worry an awful lot about his condition at all. Just make sure the threat is no longer a threat. If and when cleared of threats, I would still maintain ground and still not retreat to the family, kids, unless absolutely necessary. In other words, I won't remove myself from the field, until relieved (by LE). I'm the buffer to protect my family, if I retreat, I've no longer have control of ground I've gained, as mentioned, they could return... Yes, most unlikely, but still an unknown element of their intentions. I will call for ambulatory assistance if I feel I can... That's about it.
ummmm, no, sorry. There's something misaligned in your thought pattern there. In your home, and you've already engaged in a violent deadly confrontation, their only option is to leave and quickly! If they stop attacking is does not constitute that the threat has ended.
Biggest problem will occur with there being more than one side to the story, ie, they thought it was a friends house and they only kicked the door in to use the bathroom. Or hey, they thought this was where the choir practice was being held... Fuckers who are in the system are very imaginative to provide viable excuses for their actions that'll skirt the legal envelope...
Anyways, just my thoughts...
