They don't care about your consent.

They only care about your compliance. You can do whatever symbolic gesture you want as long as you keep following the BS rules they put in place and pay whatever taxes they levy.

Withholding your consent is a useless gesture if it isn't backed by action. Not voting just means that what tiny voice you did have about how they are going to screw you is gone.

The other candidate doesn’t want an AWB but wants bump stocks gone and silencers gone.

You do nothing because you don’t like either. The worse candidate gets elected. Now you have nothing. You failed to preserve some of your rights. Now your fight is further hamstrung if you ever wanted to do something about it.

Imagine if every republican thought like you. A democrat would always win. I don’t want NFA laws and background checks. No republican will ever represent me. Hell no libertarian would either. If I voted for neither and the dem won all the time, what would I preserve for myself?

What strategy? Voting for Trump? If that’s the strategy, I would say that I do not currently have an AWB after the first shooting because I voted for him. I would also say that at least immigration is being taken a little more seriously now. I would also say that foreign dictators are looking at us with a little more respect now. Also, the economy is up. Millions of dollars in aid to terroristic countries has been cut. We got back our American citizens held prisoners in North Korea. I got a tax cut. I’m not subject to being forced into Obama care if I lose my insurance.

So many things. Even more if I look up his accomplishments.
