I hope I'll see an increase in my profit sharing bonus this year too. Crete did already bump the mileage rate up a cent a mile pretty much across the board. That's equal to well more than $1,000 over the course of the year, and that's on top of my yearly milage rate bump. Crete similarly bumped pay shortly after the election. It's why I can buy as much ammo as I do.

Sam’s Club ttied to always go up against the Cosco’s and BJ’s of the world and just couldn’t keep up. Better they cut their losses early and invest in the Walmarts which is their cash cow.

Trump got right at the heart of the big corporations. They are going to see HUGE profits so they're passing some tokens down so they look good. Give a buck or two to the lowly workers while they rake in millions all the while being "good corporate citizens".

Some people are never happy. If unhappy with being a "lowly worker" one should seek ways to advance.
I was underemployed/unemployed in NY from 2005-2015. Then I decided to do something about it, I used my GI Bill benefits to pay for training, I found a good career, moved and I am now much, much better off than I was during that period.
And I've been seeing on average $200 more per week in my pay since the election.
Worry less about what others are doing and more about what you are doing.

Is it a bad thing they are rich?
Did they break the law because they are rich?
Because they are rich does that mean they have to give it to someone else?

Who's thinks whom is entitled? Not a bad thing they're rich. But don't pass tax laws that make them richer while the low end foots the bill. Corporations will save billions. Our president will save tens of millions. Many members of Congress will save many millions. What will you save? What do the new tax laws do for YOU? Here in NY, not much...

Since he is in office, He gave me a 28.7% increase in my 401k for 2017 that I have been adding to since 1983. Fucko Obama didn’t give me that in his 4 best consecutive yrs.

I’ll let you know when I get my first paycheck for 2018.

No. He's vindictive and childlike and doesn't have much of a clue on many things (ie his tweets today on FISA - when he watched TV and saw on Fox news what it was he had to reverse himself, again).

I hear what you're saying, but in all reality isn't that what capitalism is all about, wouldnt most people prefer to be super rich and once you're rich try to keep it that way? I know I would, while at the same time of course I would make donations and employ more people for my own benefit but to the benefit of the company, the country, the state, the county, the town, everything that affects everybody I am surrounded by.

Who pays you your paycheck? Mom and Dad, local deli owner on the corner, or maybe you have your own tree cutting business.

Majority of NYers work for corporate America. If the corporations lose I lose possibly my job, my medical, company matched 401k and so on. So I’m happy that they get a big tax break. Whatever they feel like they want to pass on to me I’ll be more than happy to take it. They pay a shit load more taxes than I do so proportionately they’re entitled to a larger return. My employer pays approx $1 billion in taxes a year. I would love for them to get as much as they can. I am not entitled to recieve any of it but hopefully they will give me a small amount. I just don’t want them to shutdown or move overseas.

Damnit Joe, I'm a trucker not an economist! I dunno why, all I can tell you is freight is way up and I do know that the pundits all claim that freight density is an early indicator of economic health. More freight=more miles= more $$ in my pocket. I also see increased industrial and commercial construction going on throughout the country, except in NYS. Go figure. My pet theory is that the movers and shakers in our economy are at least confident that inept democrats aren't going to be fucking things up for the next few years.
But really I think it's the reduced regulation and taxes that are driving the growth, again go figure.
