Here is something to think about. Remember the dude in Bergen that got popped with all the printed frames a couple months ago? He was kind of a big deal in the printing community and had made many Glock based designs.

Being in Free America, I built P80 clones of a Glock 17 & 19, which I also own. I took my time building them and paid close attention to fit and finish. The result from the Range? They ran equally flawlessly as the genuine articles, and just as accurate. I put 250 rounds through each. Both FMJ & JHP ammo. Will the P80’s last as long as the Glocks? Who knows? But I think they will far outlast me.

If that’s the gun he used, it is not a P80. And being that he reportedly lived in HI or CA, where was it built, and if in HI, how did he get it past possible TSA luggage searches?

Correct, its a printed DD19.2 variant. We cannot guess where he came from, but as shady as his online presence is it could have been anywhere. It could have been built years ago and left either with someone or in a cache.
Regardless, flying with a checked pistol is no big deal. TSA does not care as long as its declared, unloaded and in a locked case.
I'm completely guessing but since he took a bus from NYC to Altoona, maybe that or near by was the latest home.

Not sure how he is going to distribute anything. I'm sure YouTube will immediately take down any manifesto stuff he puts up, so we'll never know his side. And NYPD will likely suppress anything around the case to cover the fact this guy was only caught because he wanted to be and they couldn't do shit about it.
My "guess," is this guy is going to release info via a channel NYPD has no control over, like something via Tor / Onion, or via Telegram. Either that or he made a program that will use automation to sign up for Youtube accounts under various names, get tokens to authenticate, and post under random Youtube/Twitter/whatever names to keep things from being suppressed.
Remember, this guy is a programmer. Looking at his background, he definitely has the skillset to write something like that. @SonOfSun and @SomeSoldier can probably vouch for that having written enough programs of their own.
I think that's what he's doing here. He's just telling people to keep their eyes open this week.
