One can absolutely print a 100% working suppressor with a everyday printer and non exotic filament. We are not talking about a couple shots from .22lr, but rather rifle rounds shooting FA. Check out the FNA (Fuck The NFA) on your favorite alternative video site.

How thick would the wall have to be ?

A plastic suppressor just doesn't seem like it would stand up to me, maybe with some fiber reinforcement I guess.

Still, the oil filter has to be quicker and easier :)

If someone really wanted to tell the ATF to go fuck themselves, they'd start marketing some go-cart or pit bike with a long narrow oil filter that had 1/2-28 threads on it...

Surprisingly thin. The STL's are very easy to find it you want to look at in CAD. There are many to choose from but the FTN is the current flagship model. For more extreme use they recommended to sleeve it with a carbon fiber tube or wrap it with fiberglass, mostly to keep from blowing out after too much heat input.
Oil filters while cheap and ubiquitous are not very effective. They work to a degree but are not optimal by any means, let alone the issue of making sights pretty much worthless. As far as filters to piss off the AFT the NAPA 4003 has been around for decades and used in a manner non consistent with its manufacture for as long. It does not have the correct thread like an oil filter and requires an adapter but like an oil filter is sub-optimal at best.

Montana Firearms Freedom Act, was passed in 2009 and allowed suppressors that were stamped “Made in Montana”and bought by a Montanan, to be exempt from the NFA.

Of course the 9th Circus said no and the Supreme Court never took the case.

But I love Montana for the effort.

Interesting.

I have an obsidian 9 from rugged, and I use it with a pistol with normal height sights just fine.

It's obviously not as good as suppressor height sights, but if you keep both eyes open your brain will superimpose the sight picture of the right eye over the target picture from the left and will work pretty well.

At 50yds with a G26 I don't see too much degradation in my accuracy, maybe 15%

At closer distances it seems to be even less important.

I'm sure for low iron sights on a rifle it would be a lot more significant, but that's also a lot less common of a configuration.

Back when the CLEO sign-off was still a requirement for NFA registration AZ passed a law that required local LEOs to sign off for anyone who wasn't otherwise prohibited.

You can pretty much just use the top of the can at the muzzle end.

You could sight along the top like a ridge sight, and probably get good enough accuracy for most pistol needs "in the wild". But that's never going to be as accurate as a proper sight picture.

Plus, you should have both eyes open anyway for situational awareness.

Once you get used to it, it really works pretty well. You have your normal sight picture. It's just half coming from the left eye and half from the right.

It's a bit like using one of those "magic eye" random dot stereogram pictures that were popular a while back. But once you get used to it, it doesn't take any time at all to get the picture up.

You could try it with just a post-it note stuck on the front of your favorite pistol.

Unless there was a lot more than what was printed in that article, she should have a good lawsuit on her hands for the arrest.

To be an actual criminal threat it needs to be specific to both the time, and target.

It’s rather haunting. But I think it’s important people know about this, so I’ll be posting Mangione’s words in full, so you may get a better idea of the “why” of things:

I’m a father myself. I have parents and siblings I love deeply. And I would absolutely be furious if I had to watch the people I love in this world suffer waiting for treatment they cannot afford, despite paying thousands of dollars a year in case of such emergencies. Every year 68,000 Americans die of preventable diseases and many of them are are denied life-saving medication or operation by Brian Thompson and other CEOs like him… Mr. Thompson had hundreds of thousands if not millions of “enemies”. He didn’t see them as people, though… just, numbers. And now he’s a statistic too.
