Passed the House! Step one down.
Well with a little hope I'm going to start dreaming about an AR pistol. @Bullet Guy your going to need get some lowers in stock!
They way I understood it is that the laws still apply for the state your are carrying in, e.g., a permit holder from TX will be limited to a 10 rd mag while carrying in NY. Similar to how you have to obey differences in traffic laws even though a drivers license
Not sure what your point is by quoting a post i made with what i thought the law was intending to implement, and what i find to be ridiculous. They way I understood it is that the laws still apply for the state your are carrying in, e.g., a permit holder from TX will be limited to a 10 rd mag while carrying in NY. Similar to how you have to obey differences in traffic laws even though a drivers license is good for all states.
Nowhere in the bill does it say that you have to adhere to local laws except for the quoted text in italics below. I don't know why people and blogs keep saying that.House passes concealed carry gun bill
Despite bipartisan support for enhancing background checks for gun purchases, the bill passed along party lines, 231-198, due to Democratic opposition to the concealed-carry reciprocity measure.
Six centrist Democrats voted with Republicans to approve the package: Reps. Sanford Bishop (Ga.), Henry Cuellar (Texas), Vicente Gonzalez (Texas),
Fourteen Republicans voted “no,” including a mix of conservatives and centrists.
Conservative Rep. Thomas MassieThomas Harold MassieGOP could punt funding fight to JanuaryMcConnell PAC demands Moore return its moneyCongress must end American support for Saudi war in YemenMORE (R-Ky.) held the mirror opposite position of Democrats who voted against the legislation: he supports concealed-carry reciprocity but didn’t want the background check measure attached.
Under the House legislation, people with permits for carrying concealed handguns could do so in any state that allows concealed weapons.
People could only use their concealed-carry permits in other states that allow the practice if they are carrying a valid government-issued photo ID and are lawfully licensed to possess a concealed handgun. They would still have to adhere to established state and local laws.
House passes concealed carry gun bill
So where does this sit as far as NY City ?
They will pass laws allowing private businesses not to allow weapons. Every business in NYC will have a sign.NY will soon not allow concealed weapons thereby skirting the law.

"Concealed is Concealed!"I'm pretty sure that already exists.
Not yet in New York City or New York State. The signs don't make it illegal.I'm pretty sure that already exists.
Anything Dems are for I am against. So if they want it, I want nothing to do with it.

Concealed-Carry Reciprocity would let out-of-state people convicted of violent misdemeanors carry hidden, loaded weapons in New York.
That’s pure insanity. Only the NRA could propose something so vile. https://twitter.com/politico/status/938525252325343232 …

If I heard correctly, the Senate version does not have the same provision.Imagine his reaction when he finds out it will allow people with misdemeanors (and other minor infractions that NY regularly denies CCW applications for) who live in NY to get out an out of state permit and still carry in this state. LMAO
So if the Senate version is different and passes then a compromise is in order ? .. How does this work .You

This is probably going to get passed to the Senate and ignored or amended with something we really don't want and the sent back to the house where it will be scrapped. If a fix NICS bill or a reciprocity bill make it to the president before this session ends I'll be shocked.
