This is horrible news - NY is becoming way too fascist. Is it possible for them to give him a suspended sentence and just drop the whole thing? Because it's beyond ludicrous. Actually this is why I put away my Ruger SR45 and am using my old Colt Officer as my carry. Colt is only a 7 round magazine. If we write to idiots like Schumer on his website asking him to speak to the judge before sentencing, would that help?

I wrote Cuomo on his website, and spammed the link to this article on every news feed Cuomo has done on Facebook in the past few months asking all Facebook readers to look at the article and contact Cuomo. Not sure it will help, but if enough Veterans let Cuomo know we are offended, maybe it will help him consider a pardon.

The article says he was not drinking. Honestly, it's stuff like this that made me decide to do that gun insurance. I have both USCCA Platinum and NRA CarryGuard (and am an NRA Life Member). Articles like that really offend me. Founding Fathers never wanted these fascist laws like SAFE Act.

The mags must be older mags. I had a Glock 17 back in the late 80's and I think the magazines held about 15+ rounds. I wonder why he didn't just get modern 10 round mags when all that SAFE Act crap came rolling around? There are some profoundly wrong things about the SAFE Act - someone needs to fix those. What we need is a Republican Governor and Republican State Senators; and they should fix SAFE Act, permanently ban fracking, cease this bullshit about NY being a safe harbor for illegal aliens, consider kicking the UN out of NYC, lower taxes, stop funding entitlements to healthy people of working age, crack down on crime and drugs in NYC, clean up the beaches, fix the roads and bridges, etc.

I can't bail. My parents, kids, and friends all live in the tri-state area. I tried 11 years in GA and hated the heat, the racial issues, the traffic, the crime, and the overall lack of educated people. And candidly, the deals you get in Central NY on farms for sale cannot be matched elsewhere. A 5 BR house with barns on 200 acres is $250K in NY. It's many times that cost in most other states. There are some states in the middle of nowhere that probably aren't horrible (like Wyoming, etc) but here in Central NY we can make places like Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Einstein School of Medicine in 4 hours. Wyoming doesn't offer that quality of medical care or cultural activities (or even access to good airports). NY has so many positives; but the offset is that stupid SAFE Act and the high taxes that are used to carry NYC.
Mags loaded with more then 10 is a felony charge.

I follow the law as it is written. I do not agree with the writing of the current laws, But I will not carry less than what the law allows just to appease others.

Well, I feel pretty much the same way, except the crying over spilt milk. I am still outraged and will never quit in the fight to restore the rights that have been unlawfully taken from us. There is some mitigation due to the slothful citizenry, but the fault lies squarely with the politicians that enacted these illegal laws illegally.
