Wanna Shoot Like John Wick?

Anybody try this yet with a red dot? If so, was the dot easier or harder to pick up at such a close distance to your face?

It's definitely very easy with it close to face. It also makes the circle dot of the holosun much smaller as to not obstruct much field of view.. you are going to upset the swarm though, I expect you'll here from them soon.

Mine is still at Ruger, I probably sent it in at a bad time. Hopefully have it back within the next week.

I'm not going to be swayed to one stance or the other based on what others say. I was playing with all three, and it's easy to transition between them. It's also easy to transition from a low ready to car even with a thumbs forward grip. I can't say for sure until I get mine back and actually use it (which is going to be tough now because I don't have as much 9mm as I'd like) but it's like physics. Hold something with some weight out arms extended, then close to you with both elbows at 90 degrees. It's steadier, and much less likely to be knocked out of your hands. Nobody else likes it, no skin off my back.

I have practiced this around the house. It allows me to hug the wall tighter around corners and while entering a room it is easy to transition to an isosceles stance. What I like about it most is in the car. With this you can keep the handgun close to you and still fire with 2 hands outside the drivers window instead of having to use one hand if you are right handed.

You know as much as you clown this method, the regular isosceles stance does nothing for inside the car shooting at a threat directly outside of the driver’s window. You physically cannot do it 2 handed with a thumbs forward grip.

It isn’t a total replacement. It’s an additional tool to be used in extreme close quarters.

Like I said earlier. You didn’t have a foundation built in the military. You weren’t sent away to schools. Now you think that you know everything because you attended a class with a guy that drove a truck for the Army, bought himself some 5.11 cargo pants, grew his beard out, and set up some plywood and steel targets. Many of these guys are good. Many are hacks. They all teach something different. There isn’t one syllabus that they follow. If you had any type of military training, you would know that. There are different methods for everything. Even in the military they vary from unit to unit. Ask someone like @GOPerfect who was actually sent away to schools and he will tell you that even within the Army, you pick up different methods from various NCO teachers.

What you fail to realize is that there are different methods for anything. If you train CQB with a unit, when you deployed oversees, you will see that there are different units from different countries with varying methods. They set up cross training so that they can learn from each other.

You seem to think that there is only one way. That right there proves that you don’t know much.
